Rafale Matched F35 in Dutch MMRCA Race

Apparently the Dutch have just concluded recently a similar MMRCA race to india,s using virtualy the same planes leaving aside MIG35.

The startling facts are that Rafale came above the Tyhoon and matched the F35.

The Charts shows that based on 3 key facts

Air to Air,,, Strike,,, & maintenance the ranking where as follows.

1st. Rafale F4 (TO INCLUDE AESA RADAR)
2nd. JSF
3rd. Typhoon
4th. F16/60
5th F18 E/F
6th Gripen
7th. F16 MLU (BLOCK52)

The contract was awarded to USA JSF because the Dutch are part of the development programme.. Many believe the USA poltical weight accounted for JSF WINNING.

Some dutch anlaysts think RAFALE should have been selected as it is in service and a European jet.

The deal was for $8 bilion for 85 fighters.

I hope that india sees sense and spends $10-$12 billion wisely.

I have attended a presentation at the famous delft university and have seen the variables. Add to that the weight factors and shady political intentions and you can make anything a winner.

But I thought the Gripen was a serious contender aswell?
Perhaps I missed it, but the Rafale wasn't in the spotlights with the Dutch government up untill now?
They spent hundreds of millions of dollars for the "testing phase" for the development of the JSF aircraft, I think due to the Dutch government's nature and it's past relations with the U.S., they will crumble to American pressure and still go for the JSF, despite criticism and protests from it's people and political parties.

Eigenlijk weet iedereen dat JSF een prutsel is. De amerikanen krijgen beheer over alles (black boxes) en de technologie is dan van VS. De motor van de JSF zorgt voor gehoorschade. Het is 2 keer zo erg als een f15 dus de bases Leeuwarden, Volkel en Gilze kunnen dicht... En de JSF blijft een ondersteunend toestel voor F22... Dus het stelt ook weinig voor als je niet meer mag doen met de zogenaamde coalition of the willing...

De VS heeft in het verleden dit soort truukjes uitgehaald om de Europese vliegtuigindustrie te verzieken. F104, F5, F16 en zelfs de Phantom... Elke keer denken ze hier dat ze het goed doen en elke keer kopen ze verkeerde toestellen. De zweedse of franse alternatieven waren beter maar... Het is zo erg dat Nederland de Tornado (waar ze met ontwerpen meegedaan hadden) dumpte... Zelfde geldt voor Engeland... De enige die hier goed tegen kunnen zijn de Fransen en het is dan ook niet vreemd dat de Amerikanen alles doen om Franse markt te domineren door te goedkope tweedehandse F16's aan te bieden.

De kans dat JSF goed gaat doen wordt kleiner. EF2000, Rafale, SU35, J10B zijn allemaal vervelende toestellen. Een stuk goedkoper en zelf te onderhouden. De JSF kost je een rib uit je lijf en je mag dan ook niks mee doen. Joepie.

Can i assume then that Rafale F4 which will be the most advanced version of this fighter is comparable or very close to the JSF F35 lightening.

Without going into tech details it looks stunning and very futuristic. Its cockpit latout is defo 5th generation.

Simple... The planes are to be seen on the X-axis. The Y axis is the result of a multi criteria analyses. They can turn some values as more important and you have a different winner. You can even add variables that are not important at all. Like getting production share or input for design and you cancel out planes like Rafale... But looking at this it shows that indeed there is no difference between Rafale and JSF. Both end same position.

If you look at the red dot then that was the plane they compared but it has potential to grow to the upper range (bovenwaarde)...

When you take into account American EUA. The fact that JSF is not ready until 2012 even then thats Tranche 1. The issue that Both Japan & Austrilia have declined them and are demanding F22s I would much rather go for the Rafale its here and now.

French have a awesome plane yet have not won a order.

I think Brazil India & uae are the ones possible Libya too in the next 2 years..
