RAF Eurofighter Typhoons 'beaten by Pakistani F-16s'

Awsome news.. standards of PAF have always been outstanding and always will be .. to bad for the people that are loosing sleep over it you know who you are haha .

. .
Can any of you just imagine PAF F-16's in mock exercises against Indian SU-30MKI's (BWR, WWR, AEWACS etc. included) as well as JF-17's against Mig-29's and LCA. Now wouldn't that show be a hit!

The news item regarding PAF bagging three RAF Euro Fighters has been reported out of context to some extent. The interview of a PAF pilot has been widely published without source or reference and some wrong detail added to it which seems to have had a snow ball effect. Albeit the interview which was conducted in 2008 is very much authentic, the author at no point disclosed that the victims were RAF Typhoons. Since so much controversy surrounded the event, I decided to get the real story.
It's a fact that even in the latest disclosure in the JF-17 supplement which appears with Air Forces Monthly magazine, the author, Alan Warnes, albeit mentions the Typhoon incident but never discloses their operator.
I can now confirm that the PAF pilot(s) indeed shot down the three Typhoons in all the three set ups. However the aircraft belonged to the Italian Air Force and not the RAF as reported earlier.
This information exclusively disclosed and given permission to be published by Alan Warnes.

So what is your point. Is it that F 16 are better than Typhoons? Only fool will belive this. F 16 are 4th generation figthers, while Typoons are almost of 5th generation

MAVERICK the su30mki batters everything flying in the world to a pulp

other than the mighty F22

that why IAF is fieldinmg 272 of them by 2015

more a proof of IAF's stupidity - an aircraft with very low sortie rate, very high operational cost, very high maintenance intensity, an RCS as big as an elephant's A$$ no decent domestic overhaul or spare support despite local assembly. More a white elephant than anything else.

Ahh Storm Force again at his best, i just wonder, why don't you give this "BRILLIANT ASSESSMENT" to IAF establishment as they seem to be interested in spending billions of dollars on an "inferior" European technology :)

Just one hint on the above post, the guy who wrote it "Khurki" or whatever, is an Indian.... Enough said

The Typhoon was meant to see off such deadly in-close threats as Soviet "Fulcrums" and "Flankers" using short-range missiles fired using helmet-mounted sight systems: such planes were thought well able to beat not just Tornados but F-16s in close fighting,

.
How many times did the PAF pilots engage the Italian Typhoon's in WVR? That's probably the most important part. If it was 3 kills in 30 engagements then its not that impressive. If its 3 out of 5 then it is.
Weren't the PAF pilots flying the upgraded Turkish F-16's? I wouldn't be surprised if the PAF pilots were much more experienced than those flying the Typhoon.

Great shooting Griffins!

There were 3 WVR engagements, in all of them typhoon was fleeced by PAF pilots. Two of the kills were made by 9 Sqn pilots flying in A/B models, the third one was by PAF exchange pilot in Turkey.

One thing is proven from these engagements, the moment a dogfight transforms from BVR to WVR...chance to beat PAF decreases...even with state-of-the-art a/c!

Can any one tell in which Excersise did the PAF met the Typhoon because till now PAF hasnt met RAF till now in any excersise nor Italy recently also provide the source

.
Congrats to the PAF pilots. Hats off to them.

That said it looks like a selective leak. Does it mean they lost all other engagments in previous and later exercises.
