Radio Pakistan says, Sikhs not given their rights since independence!
Radio Pakistan in its recent Punjabi Durbar programme said that the Sikh community had been denied the rights promised to it.
The allegations were made recently, when the world fraternity watched how the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance received a huge public mandate and chose Dr. Manmohan Singh, a Sikh, for the post of the prime minister of the country for a second time.
The allegation that the Sikhs have not got their due, looks all the more surprising when one looks at Punjab where an Akali Dal-led Government is in power, the former Army Chief General J.J. Singh is Governor of Arunachal, and the Planning Commission is headed by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and Surjit Singh Barnala has been a senior Minister in the Government and is presently the Governor of Chennai
