A RACIST thug with a Nazi tattoo on his FACE has been jailed for stabbing an Indian man - because he didn't know who Lee Rigby was.

Racist thug Brian Hughes has been jailed
Brian Hughes, 35, viciously knifed Josh Moore, 20, in the neck before chasing him around a busy pub on July 12.

A court heard the bigoted yob launched the violent attack after asking the student if he knew who the murdered British soldier Lee Rigby was.

When Mr Moore didn't reply, Hughes brutally stabbed him with a penknife which had a three-inch blade.

He then chased his terrified victim around the Wetherspoons pub four times shouting: "You are going to know who Lee Rigby was".

Hughes was arrested nearby and when police searched his home in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, they found a stash of extreme right-wing propaganda.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court was told Mr Moore needed a stitch to close the stab wound to his neck which was below his windpipe and jugular vain.

The court heard he had become obsessed with the items, which included neo-Nazi and Taliban hunter memorabilia, after his child died in 2013.

Prosecutor Andrew Baker said: "The potential for killing him (Josh) was immense and it was only by sheer chance it did not take place."

Stuart Muldoon, defending, said his client had not taken his medication at the time of the attack.

He added: "He has not coped with the death of his son.

"He had right-wing tattoos on his body and face and could not remember having the SS tattoo on the right side of his face."

Hughes, who has a tattoo of the Nazi SS logo under his right eye, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.

He was jailed for five years and handed an extended sentence meaning he will also serve five years on licence.

He was also ordered to pay a £900 criminal court charge.

Judge David Fletcher told Hughes: "It is good fortune on your part that this was not a more catastrophic injury or something worse.

"This was clearly racially or religiously aggravated.

"I accept your interest in the sort of items at your home may well have started out in an entirely innocent manner, seeking to find out matters in a historical context.

"But they have developed in a very ugly way in the years leading up to this offence."

I assume it did. Considering the fact that the man who killed the the soldier was a black muslim, you can assume that those were the primary motivators. Add the fact that there is a booming population of "desi" people who are Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis, and the fact that the perpertator in mention is a neo nazi. You can pretty much put it all together.

its not same... nobody caused violence or targetted specific race, even if they praised hitler in India. Besides its mostly due to ignorance about nazis. Europe simply takes symbolism seriously(no book, or nazi emblem, dress etc) but not the actual racism.
