aussies are getting more and more racist by the day and ı witnessed alot of fights specialy in the night life districts and around crown casino in melbourne they call indians rag heads and make fun of them,that really pisses me off when they do that so many times a got into fights helping indian taxı drivers from these racist pigs but whats funny is indians have a long history and culture

I don't see why you are worried. Australia is one of the safest countries in the world and has one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

It has been proven that these attacks are not raced based but are instead random muggings that turn violent or opptunistic attacks because people can sport new immigrants.

If your brother has been educated where and where not to go, and what to do, he will be ok. It's the same with every country.

Also how is his hatred filled post helping out indians? All his doing is saying "AUSSIES ARE RACIST, AUSSIES ARE RACIST" when the majority of aussies are not. These attacks are not racist attacks and have been proven. I can not put my head around the fact that people act like Australia is a dangerous place when countries like indian are EXTREMELY dangerous places. You have 500x more chance of dieing in india then in Australia.

These comments really really piss me off, and people keep making them. "aussies are racist" "aussies are getting more and more racist" You are generalizing a whole population, when infact it's only a hand full of people who are commiting the crime.

Most of you all forget that Australia is one of the most multicultural countries in the world, there is tons of different races, yet you alll think it's just white people attacking people.

From what i understand the Lebanese people do not like indians, they could be commiting there crimes, we don't exactly know.

Also please don't talk about our history or culture if you have no idea about it. It's obvious you have no idea about it. Convicts came here between 1830 and 1850. So our grandfathers did not come here as prisoners, they were born here, unless there like 150 years old. Secondly hardly any of the population is decendants of the criminals. Australias population boomed in 1850 with the gold rush and then again in the 1950's and 1960's with all the immigrants from europe.

Saying Australia has no culture is utterly disgusting, because we do, we have a long history and alto of culture. But i wouldn't trust rude arrogant immigrants like you to know that. I am glad you have left Australia, maybe a nice immigrant family who appreciates being in one of the best countries in the world has taken your place.

Excuse me? I am not spouting trash against arabs. What i said is true. When these attacks first started happening, indians staged a protest. More then 20 Lebanese turned up and started fighting with the indians.

Also from speaking to various lebanese people (i have a lebanese family living next door to me) Lebanese people seem not to like indians for some reason.

Xdrive, your wasting your time, these people live in India and think Indian, expecting others to serve them well. They don;t seem to realise in the West, every life and property is protected by Law. Police will conduct their investigations, without Government interference, and will conclude what come may, honestly, diligently and with evidence. Like it or not, that is the best way to do it and that will obviously not change at the moaning of any Indian or other.

The incident may not be related to racism but hype in media is good its not that only Indians are getting affected, But the crimes get highlighted and all foreigners in Australia benefit. Australian PM's visit to India is testimony to that.

This Indian tendency to cry racism at every opportunity and bring in the Indian media/government only worsens community relations. The Indian media will eventually move on to other juicy sensationalism, but we will be left to pick up the pieces and repair community relations.

But please tell me. is contemporary media(Indian) enacting atypically? No they aren't, its a global phenomenon, tell me any single country's media who will not do the same what Indian media is doing. Australians are trying to the damage control they will pretend to be very wise. One of the argument they will suggest that many Arab nation men were also involved in these attacks. I can post many articles wrote by many famous Australian journalists (unleashed on right time for damage control)highly suggesting Arab (lebanese) involvement in these racial attacks. Interestingly we have seen(even here in this thread) many irrational justifications even being a developed nation still compare their crime statistic with developing countries like India.

This thread has become a India bashing thread when (phenchodan ne munda maar dita) some empathy was expected with sound assertion how such incidents can be stopped. But we as community of high number of overseas members are encouraging racism indirectly.

Its matter of shame that many so called senior members rather condemning these attacks are hell bent of Indian media(we all know why) without understanding the implications (as one you have mentioned) are just making them self look more idiotic.

What Indian media is currently reporting may has nothing to do with likes and dislikes of Australians for this particular case. But unfortunately its funny to rationalized why few members from other countries are hyperventilating here.

Only 1 Indian has been killed. Also it has not been determiend yet if it was a racist attack. Also please do not say "Why do aussies hate Indians" That means you are saying all 22 million aussies hate Indians. This is not the case.

there have been video uploads of these same beaten-up students themselves narrating their ordeal...and they have been shown to a horror-stricken nation.

2 years ago an indian man who lived near me was mugged, Why did the indian media not report then that he was racially attacked? Proves my point even further that they are just trying to create a story, because they are racist and biased.
