This thread is about RACES in PAKISTAN.i.e PATHANS,PUNJABIS,SINDHIS,BALOCHIS,RAJPUTS,BALTIS,KASHMIRISe.t.c

PUNJABIS

the origin of Punjabis can be traced back to ARYANS who came in INDIA centuries ago.Punjabis have significantly lighter complexion then the rest of indian races(excluding pathans) .

The Punjabis found in Pakistan are composed of clans and tribes (the aforementioned qaums) often with a correspondence with traditional occupations. Pre-Islamic Kambohs, Gujjars, Jats and Rajputs (such as the Janjuas) predominate with the Gakhars, Awans, and Arains, comprising the main tribes in the north, while Gilanis, Gardezis, Syeds and Quraishis are found in the south. There are Pashtun tribes like the Niazis and the Shaikhs, which are very much integrated into Punjabi village life. Especially the members of the Niazi tribe, who see themselves as Punjabis first. They have big communities in Mianwali, Bakkar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Toba Tek Singh. Punjabis in Pakistan, especially in major urban cities have diverse origins, with many post Islamic settlers tracing their origin to Afghanistan, Persia, Arabia, Kashmir and Central Asia. Many Punjabis may contain some physical traces of Central Asians due to the invasions. [18]

BALOCHIS

The Baloch (بلوچ; alternative transliterations Baluch, Balouch, Bloach,Balooch, Balush, Balosh, Baloosh, Baloush et al.) are an Iranian people inhabiting the region of Balochistan in Iran and Pakistan, Iraq , Syria as well as neighbouring areas of Afghanistan and the southeast corner of the Iranian plateau in Southwest Asia.

The Baloch speak Balochi, which is considered a northwestern Iranian language and the Baloch are accordingly generally considered an Iranian Martial Race. But other historians consider them to be ARABS and descndents of ISMAEL(A.S)

In pakistani Balochistan there are also small number of KURDS(remember the famous lawyer ALI AHMED KURD)The Kurds are from the same origin as that of Baloch. The period of their migration from the Caspian region may be a few centuries earlier than the Baloch who followed at a later period; but instead of going to their people in Zagros mountainous region, outskirts of Mesopotamia, they headed towards east. Linguistically and culturally they must have been from the same stock." [ Janmahmad; The Baloch Cultural Heritage, 1982,]

SINDHIS

Sindhis (सिन्धी, سنڌي) are an Indo-Aryan language speaking socio-ethnic group of people originating in Sindh which is part of present day Pakistan. Sindhis that live in Pakistan are predominantly Muslim, while many Sindhi Hindus emigrated to India when British India was divided in 1947. The Sindhi language is an Indo-Aryan tongue with an eclectic history like the Sindhis themselves.

[edit] History
The original inhabitants of ancient Sindh were believed to be aboriginal tribes speaking languages related to Munda languages. The Dravidian culture blossomed over the centuries and gave rise to the Indus Valley Civilization of Ancient India (now in present-day Pakistan) around 3000 BC. The Indus Valley Civilization went into decline; historians cannot agree on the cause of the decline, but some theories include arrival of tribes from Eastern Europe or the change in the path of the Indus River.

SERAIKIS

The Saraiki people (Urdu: سراییکی) or Multani people (Hindi: मुल्तानी, Urdu: ملتانی) are an ethnic group from the south-eastern areas of Pakistan, especially in the area of the former princely state of Bahawalpur and the districts of Sukhur, Multan, Lodhran, Khanewal, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, MuzafarGarh, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, Khushab, Sargodha, Jhang, Vihari. A significant number of Saraikis also reside in India, with most concentrated in the state of Punjab, Maharashtra and Gujurat. The Saraikis maintain that they have a separate language and culture, but their language is often viewed as a dialect of Sindhi or Punjabi. While most Saraikis follow Islam, some follow Hinduism.

RAJPUTS

Before the advent of Islam, but after the Aryan migrations, several invasions and mass migrations of the Central Asian tribes named as the Sakas, Parthians, Kushans, Huns and Gujjars took place in the Punjab (and other parts of Pakistan). The last two tribes i.e. the Huns (White Huns/ Epthalites) and Gujjars arrived in the 5th century AD when Hinduism had revived under the Gupta Empire but had not fully succeeded in crushing the influence of Buddhism. As the Gupta Empire collapsed under the impact of Hun invasions, it caused deep consternation among Brahmins in view of their failure to eliminate Buddhism while the Gupta power supporting them in this task had disappeared. Therefore, they began to make overtures to the new arrivals who were valiant, vigorous and warlike. They were offered the rank of Kshatryas in the Hindu fold, a position only next to that of the Brahmins and confers the responsiblity of rulership.

In the course of time the leading groups of Huns were absorbed in the Hindu fold as Kshatryas while Jats, who were the descendants of the remaining groups of Huns, occupied a lower strata of society. But the present day Jats and Rajputs also include the descendants of the previous invaders..... the Sakas and the Kushans and even of earlier races. Sakas, Parthians, Kushans, White Huns, and Gujjars were ethnically Iranian. In fact, Huns (White Huns/Hepthalites) are also called Iranian Huns to differentiate them from the other Mongoloid Huns who invaded Europe. The word Gujjar is derived from Khazar and Jat from Gatae who inhabited around the Caspian Sea and migrated towards northwest South Asia.

RAJPPUTS ARE WARRIOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR CENTURIES.IN PAKISTAN ARMY RAJPUTS ARE IN LARGE NUMBERS AND ARE ALSO INFLUENTIAL.

BALTIS
The Balti are a people of Tibetan descent with some Dardic admixture whose population of 300,000 is found in Pakistani-controlled Baltistan (a former district of Ladakh); and in Kargil and Leh districts of Ladakh, a region in Indian-controlled Jammu & Kashmir. The Balti language belongs to the Tibetan language family and is a sub-dialect of Ladakhi.

KASHMRIS

Some historians say that kashmiris are from ARYAN race .But there are others who say that they to like pathans are the lost tribe of israel.

Names like Israelites in Kashmir

Recently Mr. Ikbal Chapri, the owner of a houseboat called Haifa (the same name as a big city in Israel) in Srinagar, Kashmir, has written about this topic in the local newspapers.

His article was about the names of the tribes and places of Kashmir which are exactly Hebrew. I have a copy of two pages of the list. For example, one of the tribes of Kashmir is called Asheriya which is Asher, the tribe of Dand is Dan, Gadha is Gad, Lavi is Levi. The Tribe of Shaul is the Hebrew name of King Saul. Musa is Moses, Suliamanish is Solomon. And you also have the tribe of Israel, the tribe of Abri which is the tribe of Hebrew, and the tribe of Kahana which is the word for Jewish priest.

There are also 50-75 names of places in Kashmir which are in fact the Hebrew names that ancient Israelites were very familiar with. There is a place called Samaryah which is Samaria. Mamre is Mamre, Pishgah is Pisgah, Nabudaal is Mt. Nevo, Bushan is Bashan, Gilgit is Gilgal, Heshba is Heshbon, Amunah is Amon, Gochan is Goshen, Median-pura is Midian, and Guzana is Gozan which is a place name in Assyria and the very place where the Ten Tribes of Israel were deported.

The name Israel is very common among them as it is among the Pathans, and this name is never used among the Muslims. They also light a candle for the Sabbath, have sidelocks, beards, and emblem or design of the Shield of David.

Btw, dude, your article is shyt.

Just being honest, lots of proven mistakes.

EDIT: This seems to be pieced togther from mosiach.com?

.
Whats the mistake,Only kashmir is taken from Moschiac.I am not saying any thing defininitely if you have any other details about origins of races in Pakistan then bring them forward.I am ready for correction. This thread is for discussion about the races in Pakistan you can bring in more.I think I am quite sure about PATHANS,PUNJABIS,RAJPUTS,BALOCHS SERAIKIES But abut KASHMIR you can correct me.

It's full of mistakes. Too many. I'll begin.

This thread is about RACES in PAKISTAN.i.e PATHANS,PUNJABIS,SINDHIS,BALOCHIS,RAJPUTS,BALTIS,K ASHMIRISe.t.c

First mistake. They're not "Races" of Pakistan, they're ethnic groups of Pakistan. Pakistan is mainly a single race, but many ethnic groups (call them sub-races if you want to).

This is taken from wiki so you can imagine how incorrect it would be.

Punjabi people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the origin of Punjabis can be traced back to ARYANS who came in INDIA centuries ago.Punjabis have significantly lighter complexion then the rest of indian races(excluding pathans) .

Eastern Punjabis I guess are an "Indian race", Pathans are not an Indian race. Western Punjabis are a Pakistani ethnic group. The origin of the Punjabis I would say is part Aryan and part Dravidian. The most Aryan people in Asia I would say are Pashtuns along the Afghan-Pak border. By the time the Eastern Indo-Pak border is reached the majority of people begin to look different.

Many Punjabis may contain some physical traces of Central Asians due to the invasions. [18]

Well this is all nonsense. Punjabis are basically Pashtun, but more dravidianized. The Dravidian epicentre is in central India, so it would be expected that they would be more dravidianzed than Pashtuns.

Well, Baloch are definitely not an "Iranian" people genetically. They might be classed as speaking an Iranic language, which doesn't mean much, and certainly isn't related to modern day Iran. It's a deceptive description to call the Balock an "Iranian" people..they have nothing in common with Persians who form the majority of modern day Iran.

The Baloch speak Balochi, which is considered a northwestern Iranian language and the Baloch are accordingly generally considered an Iranian Martial Race. But other historians consider them to be ARABS and descndents of ISMAEL(A.S)

Baloch have nothing to do with modern day Iran, linguistically or genetically. Kurds are another matter.

"The Dravidian culture blossomed over the centuries and gave rise to the Indus Valley Civilization of Ancient India" .. need I say anymore? It's obviously written by some Indian claiming the Indus Valley Civilization was a Tamil/Dravidian civilization.

Well this is all bs. It's from Mosaich.com, and that site really does post rubbish. Pathans have nothing to do with any lost tribe of Israel. This has been genetically proved. Pathans have everything to do with Central Asia, and if there's any group in Asia that could claim to be Aryan, the Pathans would have the biggest creditable reasons to claim it. Much genetic evidence and physical evidence supports this.

.
South Asia is split into several "sub races" as I see it.

1. Iranic people. Baluchis and Pashtuns
2. Indus people. Kashmiris, Punjabis and Sindhis.

3. North Indids. North Indians.
4. East Indians. Assam, Minipur, Burma.
5. Dravidians. South Indians.

These groups rarely mixed with the other groups listed. And Rarely mixed with people of other religions.

.
It's full of mistakes. Too many. I'll begin.

First mistake. They're not "Races" of Pakistan, they're ethnic groups of Pakistan. Pakistan is mainly a single race, but many ethnic groups (call them sub-races if you want to).

Ok I can call them ethnic groups.

If you read my post CAREFULLY I wrote that that some of the scholars said that Balochis are Arab race so theyy are either ARABS/Iranians or very few scholars say that they are cent asian origin.

I am sorry I didnt even take a word from MOSCHIACH about Pathans I would send you the source.PATHANS them selves say that they are from Bani Israel then how can you contradict that .There are some very strong arguments in favour of that. The tribal elders them selves say that Pathans are a bani israel race.YOu cannot cannot cannnot contradict that .If you wish then you can have a debate with me on this issue.

mosabja,

I'm pathan and me and my ancestors are not from Israel.

Why don't we guys have our DNA's analyzed---rather than argue?
