We have seen Trump very angry and agitated in last month. He has threatened China quiet a few time. Threats included suing China for Corona Virus Pandemic, cutting ties with China etc.

There is reason for such unease in the USA. USA is losing its influence in the world and its role as a World Super Power.

The Covid-19 has brought about changes in the world.
China has now the biggest banks but not the influence to go by it. USA is controlling the world, through Dollars. 80% of the world trade is conducted in US Dollars.
The day that monopoly is threatened and put under pressure, USA would be finished.

If Dollars goes as Reserve Currency and as the leading trade currency, USA would be in free fall.

The above statement could be further clarified with an Example.

Lets say that China started to bill its Exports to the USA in Yuan and demands that USA pays its bills to China in Yuan.

In such scenario, USA has to hold reserves of Yuan. To hold the Reserve in Yuan it has to earn those Yuan in international trade to pay off its imports.

At the moment USA doesn't have to do that. It can print Dollars and pay its liabilities.

Once it is obliged to hold reserves, due to the trade deficits it has with rest of the world, USA would be in serious economic crisis.

The infrastructure was not set up for that, that is why the digital Yuan and Petro Yuan were recently introduced. I am sure that more transactions will start shifting towards those mechanisms in the near future however. Still a long way off from challenging the dominance of the USD however.

The biggest mistake CCP did was not embracing market economy earlier. I do thank the West for opening up their markets, but its a trade, we sell our time and labour to exchange goods and services, nothing is free you know. India is now begging to take over the very same shitty jobs we had while we move up the chain. Lol
