At least three killed in Quetta blast



QUETTA: Three people, including two policemen, were killed and 14 others were wounded in a blast in Quetta on Sunday. The target of the blast was a police officer’s vehicle.

The blast took place as an explosive device planted in a bicycle went off on the city’s Kuwari Road when the police vehicle passed by it.

The vehicle is stated to be of a district police officer stationed in Khuzdar, who was not present in the vehicle.

Police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site soon after the blast. They cordoned off the area and shifted the injured to the civil hospital for treatment. — DawnNews

There has been an upsurge in violence in Baluchistan in the last few weeks - coincidentally (or not) with the improvement in Pakistan's position regionally.

My suspicions fall on Indian backed groups looking to undermine recent Pakistani gains.

Couldnt this be retaliation by the groups where significant arrests have been made??

What Proof do you have that its done by India? Is it a habitual ranting to accuse India for each of your shortcomings? Get over this obsession! When you have problem with people poiting to Pakistan for any terrorist activities in India without any proof then you should also adhere to that logic. Don't preach what you yourself can not follow.

The TTP? The MO appears different - very likely Baluch terrorists groups.

Didn't stop people from speculating though did it - but fair enough observation.

The next time a terrorist attack occurs in India I expect the senior Indian members to be in the front-line tamping down on Indian members blaming Pakistan.

Switch the words Pakistan and India and that statement works just as well ...

Probably time for Indians and Pakistanis, on this forum at least, to start a dialog on this issue on a thread and come to some sort of agreement on how to avoid inflammatory accusations and language, not just after a terrorist attack, but in general.

Both sides have dirty hands in this game, so inflammatory terminology used by one inevitably sparks a similar response by the other, and what gets lost is the quality of discussion.

You can count me in if that trend starts from today.. However I will hope against any future attacks in India even though I know the probability of that happening is high. Its like every one knows that he will die one day, but keeps trying to dodge the inevitable..

I don't think so your RAW supported Baloch separatists themselves have admitted and that also on Media that they get help from India.

Perhaps better than a thread, since the frequent posters know the other frequent posters, contact them personally through PM or their profile walls and talk about it or invite them to talk about it further on a thread.

It has to be something that members will have to talk to each other about and do voluntarily, and it will take some time as the forum is pretty large and it is unlikely every member will be contacted in a set time-frame. But starting with the most frequent posters and the, errr, usual suspects, would be a good place to start.

It is obviously not something the forum can impose on members other than banning them, and unfortunately we have lost some good members because of that.
