I think the Mirage ship has sailed now with J-10 induction. But we should still ensure IAF does not get them down the road through whatever diplomatic channels.

the only way we will ensure that is buy getting them ourselves or making sure they end up in a friendly country.

That said, even with the J-10 induction, mirages would mean a very very potent punch factor added to PAF, in minimum time.

PS: there is no way the mirage will ever be undermined. It is a proven, potent platform that PAF knows plenty about.

Not to take anything away from the Eurofighter Typhoon, but any aircraft of pretty close standards to the other can beat any other aircraft of similar capabilities on any given day. They can do this ten times and the results could vary from one extreme to the other just as equally or as lopsided depending on the pilot skills and how much training etc.
