Ahahahah....don't mind some of them. Those who change their minds everyday depending on new events is often due to emotions. So Qatar might be the "bad guy/Western puppet sellout" today and the " good real ummah guy" tomorrow( like some are already claiming)
Qatar the tiny troll country in Middle East, they have learnt to play the game. They have massive financial invesments in Europe and USA, they host US bases and but also keeps close ties with Turkey and Iran. In Geo-Politics there are no friends or enemies, US won't last for ever sooner or later in a couple of decades US might have to start withdrawing its forces from ME. Qatar is thinking out of the box and making sure it plays all the sides, which ever side wins Qatar will say see we were always with you guys. 
Both Qatar and Turkey supported ISIS before they distanced themselves from Saudi. There is no such thing as friend or foe in politics. It’s only about interests.

Especially considering that the soviets payed no compensation for ka007,while the us for ia655 payed only a paltry 60 million as an ex gratia payment while accepting no responsibility.What would that 60 million be the monetary equivalent of today with inflation I wonder?.
Actually, US paid around $132 millions in compensation. 62 millions of those are for individual compensation (ie victim comp), 70 mil for Iran Air, possibly for the price of the fuselage.
In today rate, it's about 300 millions.
There are formula as to how much money to compensate in aviation accidents. It was set forth by ICAO (an UN organisation), current rate is about $190,000 per passenger, that is before any punitive damages for other clause (such as wilful negligent and all.) So before any civil court case arise from the incident, Iranian government should pay roughly 32 millions for the 169 passenger as compensation as per ICAO requirement. So if Qatar is offering 3 billions (roughly 100 times that amount) which mean Iran is probably facing a major court case ahead.

I don't know about you guys... But in my eyes... Iran turned into less than a 3rd world country... Who can't/ wouldn't afford to pay for victims she officially accepted to have killed... and even more when the majority of them where Iranians...

If this news is true, the current Qatari regime deserves to be lynched.
What has Qatar to do with Iranian Mullah regime incompetence?
Why is Arab money being spent on an enemy regime that itself floods in oil and gas?
Has Iran ever made a similar gesture towards Arabs?
Can any sane Arab make sense of such absurdities?
This surely has to be made up nonsense news or it is another low for the current Qatari regime.

I want to reach out to Qatar for the sake of brotherhood and everything we share but if this news is accurate, the current Qatari regime makes it very difficult for me to keep doing that.
