Where is the criticism now? How many government have given such big amounts to poor people in other countries? This is not the first time Qatar donates a huge sum of money.

In this case they deserve respect.

Having oil is not something you should be respected for.

For god's sake, you get to change your attitude. Forget about the past, both of you Iraqis and Khalijees wronged eachothers. Countries that virtually have nothing in common killed millions of eachothers and became allies after few years.

What do think that you would accomplish from nurturing hatred between you and Kuwaitis who are the closest to you other than more misery for all of us? Be smart and look into the future.

Take Jordan as an example, Jamal Abd Al-Nassir, Syria, and Libya tried to assassinate King Hussein (MHRP) 21 times, but he pardoned the culprits and never raised this issue with those countries, nevertheless, they were all vanished by their own deeds. Forget and forgive.

Stop commenting on oil dependency when you are the most dependent country in the world when it comes to oil. And there is NOTHING wrong with that. If you actually care about studying about countries, empires and how they got rich you would understand that land/natural resources always impacted on whether you were a weak or strong empire. Some countries are blessed with natural riches and some not.

Some of them who are not, when powerful, have tried to steal riches from other people like all of Europe did when they started to colonize North and South America. How they got rich in the first place. Same with Russia who lives on its gas and oil. USA first really got rich when they stuck gold.

Many users already addressed this issue and many of them are not even Arabs or Muslims but Europeans/Americans themselves.

This is a lame argument of those who hate Arabs - that Arabs got rich because of oil.

They're ignorant of the fact that just about every major power, including US and Russia, got rich because of oil, gas and other natural resources.

Russia's oil dependency is well known. Not many know that US's rise as a superpower started with it striking black gold in Texas back in 1901 - Google "spindletop" and get educated. Democracy, freedom, rule of law, civil rights and all other gimmicks took a century to come by.

Arabs have comparative advantage at producing oil, in other words, they're better at it. So they'll continue to produce it. Just like switzerland is better at watches, india for agriculture, taiwan for electronics and so on.

Read the rest of the message. It cannot get more clear than this. Also the first rule is not to criticizes others of what oneself is guilty of.

A murderer cannot criticize another murderer for murdering unless he wants to look like an hypocrite. You choose yourself. So, what if there was war? Iraq was only developed somewhat due to the oil/gas in the first place (before the wars) which was the point. Do I need to remind you of how it looked like just 90 years ago before the oil?

We along with NATO saved Libya, we only raided Qaddafi forces and imposed a no fly zone to prevent his air force from raiding civilians and cities. It was Qaddafi who destroyed Libyan infrastructure and his son threatened to destroy Libyan oil infrastructure in his famous speech with his index finger which was cut off later. Jordan trained thousands of Libyan police and armed forces, provided health treatment for tens of thousands, granted/sold them military vehicles not to mention humanitarian aids. UAE granted them police vehicles and offered to help them out in many fields. Qatar, Egypt and KSA provided help as well.

I do not actually hate gulf arabs, only in politics theres little I agree on with them.
Iraq for all I know wanted to restore relations better with GCC years before all this Arab spring, Saudi arabia wants billions of us.
Iraq is already paying Kuwait, but seriously for what does saudi arabia need Iraqs money ?
