I am only addressing responses that are not grounded in facts or lack in logic. Some people have no idea of capabilities of F-15 series birds and specifics of the deals involving them but needlessly criticizing Qatar on this matter.

To some people, 21 billion USD investment package involving scores of F-15 series aircraft is not worth it. My argument is how can you be so certain about this? Do you know anything about these birds? Do you know the specifics of the package? Subjectivity at its finest.

India has invested almost 30 billion USD in its MRCA deal which involves procurement of only 36 Rafale aircraft. Now, Rafale is MMRCA whereas F-15 is a massive 'air superiority' aircraft with relatively superior performance, range and payload capacity.

Critic of any deal should come from people who are familiar with its specifics and understand the capabilities of aircraft involved. Very easy to say that Qatar is milking US and vice versa but if Qatar's threat perception extends to Saudi Arabia, it needs a potent strike package for its defense because Saudi Arabia have it.

In the red flag, F-35 has show its advantage in front of 4th generation fighter jets.
Qatar should have bought F-35s.It is relatively reasonable price for F-35.
The feature of stealth matters the most in today's airborne combat. No matter how advanced and maneuverable F-15 SQ is , it cannot counter a real stealthy fighter, cause it would be shot down before its might's put to practice.
A blind martial art master could not beat a common people.
