If Cambodia did commit agression on Vietnam on the border, then it would be reasonable for Vietnam to fight back, to repel Cambodia force by engaging in a border war or the sort, but, it didnt justify for Vietnam to invade and occupy the entire Cambodia for 10 years until Vietnam was forced out Cambodia by international pressure.

I never said Vietnam military campaign ran very well as planned. Sure, looking back, the withdrawal should take place earlier. About international pressure, that was just half of the planet because we were supported by USSR and Warshaw pact.
