Lahore you already know is famous for foods and you will enjoy provided your selection of place is right.
Gujranwala is best place for BBQ (Even Lahore can't match that) Chanps, Chirray, Tittar, Batair and Tikkas and yeah Qulfi from Rahwali
Don't miss Palao of Savour in Rawalpindi (good thing is that it's flat rate, so you can eat as much as you can)

Food Street is not miss thing because of it's location - but not good if you are looking for best food (at-least in my opinion). I hope your host will be know good restaurant there - I don't miss sweet paan there whenever i go.

Apparently, he should as showing Pakistan to Punjabi's is one of his source of livelihood. Moreover, my Grand Father already been their in past - banking on him too
