This have to do with unfair NFC award which should be cancelled. Punjab share was reduced even though population is increasing. Meanwhile politicians in other provinces didn't do anything and people there drink same dirty water with more money. At least Shabaz Sharif would make sure to provide clean water with more funds.

Let me see.. PMLN have been in charge of Punjab since the 90's yet the basic human need of water is not guaranteed. Maybe if the stopped wasting money on projects like the Metro then funds wouldn't be a problem. I don't wish to be disparaging but I would like to share with you a picture of a drinking trough in Manchester from 1876, the point I am trying to make is even in 1876 the concept of potable water was one the civil administration understood.

It's alright. Loot from the world and starving millions to death in South Asia helped provide clean water to the residents of Manchester.

Shall we start a comparison between Europe of dark ages whilst cities in Andalusia had street lights and proper water systems - for centuries!? Of course the intention would not be one to disparage.

Regarding the availability of potable water, the chief ministers claimed that tenders for provision of clear drinking water will have been awarded by the end of the current year, adding that potable water will be available in the whole province by next year.

Shahbaz Sharif has ruled Punjab for 10 years but still no clean water and now he is saying that elect us again and you will get clean drinking water in 2018.

Very good strategy. At first suck the region's blood dry and then declare it waste land.Very much similar to East Pakistan saga, at first, exploited and neglected it to develop the northern Punjab and Islamabad. When East Pakistan became very much backward and relatively poor, invented the theory of economic liability. And to get rid of that 'liability' military operation was launched. After 1971, that 'liability' theory turned into 'blessing in disguise' theory. It seem, it is now the turn of South Punjab.
