Punjab sets high benchmarks of efficiency, transparency

That is exactly what i said Chinese exposed this scandal and did their part by taking legal measures against that company now they left it to us to punish local facilitators(sharif family) without doing that themselves so relations are not damaged

Btw misleading title they punished Chinese company for corruption not for making a claim

China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) on Thursday blacklisted Chinese company Jiangsu Yabaite Co Ltd and fined it 900,000 yuan for alleged forgery and fraud.

That Chinese Company Yabeite didn't even worked in Pakistan according to Deputy Chief of Mission at Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Lijian Sheh check post 17 above...
But still, if accusers have something valid they must go to court... simple...
Things are already in court you and your lot refuse to accept facts when they go against you in court
https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/20...secretary-to-provide-multan-metro-bus-record/
The company make false claim and Security Exchange of China banned that company and fined

You sure about the reason why it was banned and who were their local contractors?

That's nice, now court must take this to its logical conclusion...
Only 2 possibilities... either there is corruption in the project or not...
Court's decision must be final for every one...that's democracy, if anyone disagrees, its his action... you or me are not responsible for this... end of the day court will decide based on solid evidence... so let the court decide...

China Securities Regularity Commission (CSRC) has imposed a fine of 900,000 RMP on Chinese firm Yabait due to its forgery and fraud. It is the largest amount of fine imposed under the Chinese law
LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - 21st Dec, 2017 ):China Securities Regularity Commission (CSRC) has imposed a fine of 900,000 RMP on Chinese firm Yabait due to its forgery and fraud. It is the largest amount of fine imposed under the Chinese law. Yabait is the company that had claimed around four months ago that it had earned 2.5 billion rupees from Multan Metro Bus and sent it to China. Some circles in Pakistan including a TV channel and PTI had used the false claim for character assassination of Chief Minister Punjab after the claim made by Yabait.

The Punjab Government held a detailed inquiry of the allegations and it was transpired that no company with the name of Yabait did not work in Multan Metro Bus. It was also verified that any of the project contractors had not acquired the services of any company with this name. The Punjab government gave a befitting reply to the campaign of a TV channel and PTI. The Chief Minister talked to the media and sent defamation notice to the TV channel whose reply was still awaited.

According to that news provided by @Zibago the NAB is looking into this matter....

i say thats nice...
dodh ka dodh pani ka pani..
if there is corruption in multan metro, no pakistani should justify it... and if its clean then all pakistanis must appriciate this...
now how will this be established?? that its clean or not...
Only court of law is the final authority... and court requires solid evidence to decide... right...
so lets wait it out for the court to decide, and if anyone has some evidence, he/she must consult NAB or court, instead of only accusing... its logical na...

Punjab CM has become role model for other provinces: Dr Isharat Husain

download-2-122.jpg

LAHORE: Dr Isharat Husain on Saturday commended the governance style of the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, at the launch ceremony of his book ‘Governing the Ungovernable‘ in Lahore.

Dr Isharat Husain said that Mian Shehbaz Sharif’s achievements in different areas especially in the energy sector deserve huge applause, as he has practically ensured transparency, merit and competency among various projects and government institutions as well.

He further stated that Punjab CM’s performance in his previous tenure (2008-2013) was also superb, about which he has categorically stated in Chapter 2, page 56 of this book, as to how it contributed to PML-N victory in the General Elections of 2013.

“After all, it was the impressive track record of the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the 2008-13 period which won the votes for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).“

Dr Isharat Husain specifically mentioned that if Pakistan wants to move economically ahead, the approach and working style of CM Shehbaz is best in this regard.

Shehbaz Sharif earns Germany’s praise for energy uplift in Pakistan

Martin-Kobler_Shehbaz-Sharif.jpg

JHANG – German Ambassador Martin Kobler to Pakistan Martin Kobler on Saturday praised Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his unmatched efforts to improve energy sector in the country.

The ambassador expressed his views during a groundbreaking ceremony of 1263MW Punjab Power Plant.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi laid the foundation stone of a power plant in Jhang today along with Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif.

The 1,263 Megawatt LNG (Liquefied natural gas) power plant will be constructed near the Trimmu Barrage and is estimated to cost USD800 million.

The project is being funded by China and Punjab government and is expected to be completed in 26 months, however, it will start power generation of 810 MW within 14 months.

Addressing the audience at the time of agreement for the said project, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had vowed to end the load shedding with concrete measures by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.

The Chief Minister pointed out that all power projects had been completed speedily with utmost transparency.

Shehbaz is the man who delivers, says Pakistan’s most outspoken analyst

LAHORE – Hassan Nisar, who is known for speaking against the system, against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and all other parties in power, was all praise for the Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif during a TV programme last night.

“Shehbaz knows how to deliver, there are no doubts about his performance. When I speak about Punjab Food Authority, I actually praise the man behind it and that is Shehbaz Sharif,” the columnist said during the show.

Also, last week, a renowned economist and ex-governor of State Bank of Pakistan praised Shehbaz Sharif for his style of governance and delivery in the province of Punjab.

“After all, it was the impressive track record of the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during the 2008-13 period which won the votes for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N),” Dr Ishrat Hussain stated in his book.

The former SBP governor specifically mentioned that if Pakistan wants to move economically ahead, “the approach and working style of CM Shehbaz is best in this regard, and we all must collectively support him”.

Since the disqualification of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court on grounds he had been dishonest and therefore unfit for office, PML-N leaders are rallying behind Shahbaz Sharif as his eventual successor.

Shehbaz is currently serving his third term as Punjab’s chief minister. He previously held the post from 1997-1999, before former military ruler Pervez Musharraf exiled the Sharif brothers to Saudi Arabia, and then again from 2008-2013.

Considered a workaholic, Shahbaz likes to call himself Khadim-i-Aala (chief servant) rather than chief minister.

The Metro Bus projects in Punjab are frequently touted as his biggest achievements.

US diplomat all praise for Shahbaz Sharif

LONDON: Former United States Counsel General Zachary V Harkenrider lauded on Saturday the vision and management skills of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, saying he was tremendously impressed by his leadership skills.

Zachary V Harkenrider served as the Consul General of the United States in Lahore between 2013 and 2016. During the period, he was able to work closely with Shahbaz. Harkenrider was responsible for all activities of the US government in Punjab. He is currently working at US embassy in London as a senior diplomat.

The former Counsel General seemed quite impressed with Shahbaz Sharif. In an interview, Harkenrider said Sharif's "leadership skills, dynamism, and vision” allow him to make sure the goals he has set are delivered in practical form.

“You have got lots of leaders in this world in my country and other countries who are capable of visualising success or where they want to go, they are the people who are very good at implementing projects. It’s very rare to find somebody who blends both qualities and Shahbaz did that and that’s why I found him quite impressive and unique in my experience,” said the diplomat who worked closely with the Punjab chief minister.

“It's not only his strategic vision of where to take his province but also a practical capacity to implement that vision in the day to day life of his country and his city, that’s something completely unique in my experience in the developing world,” he said.

“I have never seen anyone who is that capable of matching vision and execution as Shahbaz Sharif was. Despite having served in a dozen countries, it was Sharif out of all the leaders he has met to date who left a lasting impression,” the senior US diplomat added.

The US diplomat said that Shahbaz Sharif was a “good man and he provided great leadership to the people of Punjab”. He added that they were working so hard to try to improve the US-Pakistan relations and try to invest in Pakistan’s success. “It was great to have a partner like Shahbaz Sharif who was clearly every effective in getting things done.”

People like Shahbaz Sharif are needed in leadership roles in order to pave way for genuine development; Harkenrider linked him to Robert Moses who is an instrumental character in the history of New York.

“The book, titled The Power Broker: Robert Moses and the Fall of New York, by Robert A Caro shows you what that kind of energy can do to transform a city, transform a state to bring together the powers of the government for a collective good wedded to a vision and that’s what I saw in Shahbaz Sharif.

"I saw in him a man of compelling vision with real leadership and management skills and the capacity to translate concepts into action and that is unique in politics very few leaders actually have that ability," Harkenrider stressed.

Harkenrider said that there was a whole depth to the Punjabi culture, and particularly, the Lahori traditions which goes very deep. It has deep historical roots. I am a Persian speaker so I was able to understand some of the cultural foundations of the Punjab, he noted.

"I ran the ambassador’s cultural preservation fund and contributed towards conservation and preservation of some of Punjab’s great cultural heritage and historical monuments" from shrines in Multan to mosques in Lahore.I am a historian by background and diplomat by profession. It was a great fusion of our assistance resources and Pakistan’s rich deep history. And it gave me a great appreciation for the country’s texture,” he added.

Zachary Harkenrider, who is working in the political section of the US Embassy in London, said that the fact that Pakistan and the US were not happy with each other and asking each other to do more show that how much both needed depended on each other.

“US placed tremendous importance to its relations with Pakistan and vice versa. We work together on shared priorities and not only in the security sphere but in the economic sphere too. The US has provided over 50 billion dollars of assistance, both economic and military to Pakistan in the last 15 years, and that reflects the tremendous priority that we have for relations with your country,” he said.

He said that the US also valued Pakistan because it has the potential to be a great Asian success story. “When I look at the picture of the economic growth that we saw in the last few years, the tremendous success in energy, culture, free media and you name it, this is an Asian success story that’s waiting to happen and I am proud to be part of that. And the emphasis the United States places on Pakistan is not misplaced when you consider the tremendous potential of that country in contributing towards a prosperous Asian future,” said the diplomat.

"It was great to have a partner like Shahbaz Sharif who was clearly very effective in getting things done,” the diplomat concluded.

"Even American Consulate General once commented on Shehbaz’s focus towards work and his expertise to get it done. “From American history, Shehbaz Sharif is Robert Moses for Pakistan,” US CG added."

Shehbaz is our our next candidate for PM in elections 2018; says PM Abbasi & Maryam Nawaz

In an interview with a journalist, the prime minister of Pakistan Abbasi spoke about suitability of Shehbaz Sharif for the slot of premier. At the groundbreaking ceremony of Jhang Power Plant, PM Abbasi gave credit to Shehbaz Sharif for all the energy projects setup in Punjab. With growing popularity of Shehbaz Sharif, the chief of the largest province of Pakistan has earned international acclaim for its dedication and art of delivering. German Ambassador at the groundbreaking ceremony of power plant near Jhang, praised Shehbaz Sharif and was of the view that he prioritizes all of his projects and doesn’t sit idle unless he finishes.Even international community is on the same page, his commitment, dedication and leadership skills to make other officials work too, have earned him the title of Shehbaz Speed that too by Chinese envoy, he is faster than Shenzhen Speed. Even American CG once commented on Shehbaz’s focus towards work and his expertise to get it done. From American history, Shehbaz Sharif is Robert Moses for Pakistan, US CG added.
During last Jalsa, speaking to a private media outlet atop a rally stage in Sheikhupura, Maryam said that she “500 per cent agrees” with the decision of party chief Nawaz Sharif over the nomination of Shehbaz as the next premier. She said Shehbaz is the most senior leader and most qualified person in the party to hold the executive post of the premier.

lets face it, people are happy with PMLN, they did a good job in taking lot of loans and going on a spending spree in pujab while ignoring other provinces and national interests

punjab has learned it lesson from devastator PPPP , they are not and shouldn't vote for PTI or PPPP or any other national based party

.
No matter how bad PML N government is theoretically, when it comes to practicality they have full filled their promises, they have changed the economical landscape of Pakistan. When they came into power Pakistan was facing immense power shortages, Taliban's were ruling North Waziristan , economy was growing with 2-3% GDP , and there was sense of pessimism among the public.

This has all changed in last 5 years. Shahbaz sharief has lead from front. I think they have fair chance of coming into power again in 2018. Most people would agree if Nawaz Shrief and few other members are removed from party, it would become a great party.
