PML-N will not be adversely effected by the prospective division of the province, its politics is primarily based on bureaucratic maneuvers & tribal associations, the factors which rule equally high both in South & Central Punjab!!!

They have three options, aside form two you mentioned, Salman can be brought into politics if need arises. So logically it is possible that Shahbaz heads to centre while Mariam and Hamza become the CMs.

hmm..Let's see how it plays out. However, in my opinion they won't survive as a single party for long if the partition of the province happens.
