Well every survey is conducted with different parameters. You never know if the earlier survey was conducted by another agency and this by another one and what was the guideline to gather this data. Lets wait for credible source with detail info and I am also eagerly waiting for next report of Transparency International to see what they have to say about the country's performance of this year.

These are official figures? If so then big lol at PTI, KPK instead of improving reduced its percentage by 2%.

.
But KPK has a literacy rate of 200%. Thats right. Its 200% in KPK. Take that Punjab!!

Jokes apart, I know I shouldnt be making fun of KPK just because it is run by bunch of clowns. I am with my pathan brothers of KPK and InshaAllah, KPK will indeed become just like Punjab but to do that, you guys seriously need to get rid of all those clowns that are ruling over you.

I was expecting above 95% for ICT. 83% is way too less.

About Sind it is all because of provincial & federal waderas.

. .
69% would be high for Pakistan.

I thought it would be somewhere around 61-62% for Pakistan and 55% for KPK.

When is your Census?
That should clear up everything.

TBH i am not surprised however I personally believe literacy and educated are two different things. You can be an educated person but still be an illiterate as it is common sense that our country is nowhere near the level of what a 70 percent literate country should look like. How you calculate the number of jahils or illiterates in a country i do not know and dont think there is a feasible way for it.
Anyway i am not surprised that punjab has such a high amount of education since it has majority of the best schools especially lahore like i mentioned in another thread. The surprising numbers are
1. Islamabad as i personally believe islamabad to be a city of educated people so surprised that its not higher.
2. KPK rate has fallen which is a serious thing and should be looked upon by Imran khan. Its hard but it will require mass focus.
3. AJK and GB. Amazing efforts there to increase education like that. Truly impressive stuff there.

Sindh being so low is disappointing. KPK has been hit by terrorism severely and PTI has been in power for only a year but sindh should have been much higher especially since abt a year ago its main party was at in federal running the country. Poor stuff from PPP there. Very poor.

Over all. Still alot and alot is required. We need to increase it evermore as education maybe the only strong rope to take us out of this chasm we are stuck in.

This report is false, i cant find any source in English. Non-official figures, lets wait and see for proper report. Its hard to believe any province will get lower no matter how bad things are.

Interesting...none from Sind in top 20 - thanks to provincial & federal wadera govts.

Non from KpK as well, while FATA Khyber agency students are doing quite well. Same for Balochistan. While not a single one in top 20 from KPK and Sindh.

.
Not surprising seeing GB at top , GB people are most tolerant in whole country. Agha Khan Foundation has played a fine role in education sector there.

should not come as a surprise,Bannu literacy rate is up from 31% in 1998 to almost 60% today.I hope bannu will reach the mark of 80% before the end of this decade

Whats the story behind Bannu success in education?
