Bhutto himself owned thousands of acres of agri land and yet he decided to bring about reforms limiting the ownership of land by any individual to a maximum of 100 acres only..

Do you know Bhutto family's land holdings before his rule and after?

Just look at his cousin Mumtaz Bhutto's ownership.

If someone went from 100s of acres to 1000s of acres in 4 years, how did he do it?

Did he have some land making machine in his basement?

or he stole it from others?

The only way Pakistan's agri sector will move forward is to run it like industry, and I believe it is already moving in that direction. Those big landlords who haven't managed their land well, are being forced to sell it.

I can list many big land lords in Punjab who have sold very large farms to industrialists.

when DCO jhang proposed this system 3-4 years ago to be implemented all over punjab what he had done in jhang, he was forced to resign by the very pmln govt on pressure of Patwaris, however now they have no choice but to modernize the system, any guesses why?

Fauj is right about Communism having been dead for a long time now. There could be some room for a reformed socialism. But you know a welfare state model is perhaps much better by virtue of being practical and well-developed.

Brother Fauj is not right about communism being dead a long time ago . he does not even know what communism is and what is the difference b/w Islamic Socialism (which I talk about) & Marxism-Leninism .. He thinks of communism as some form of "religion" .. And he is not able to understand that any land reforms that may involve redistribution of land (with the owners being compensated) are not necessarily "communist" and "unislamic" ..

I also remember lot of supporters listed 'Computerised land record system' already implemented and as an achievement of PMLN prior to elections. So that was all lies ?
