Punjab Govt computerises land record of 24,000 villages

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says the Land Record Management Information System will eliminate the Patwari Culture from province.

Chairing a high level meeting in Lahore, the Chief Minister said this latest system is a revolutionary step regarding the provision of Land Ownership Documents to people.

He said that the computerization process of more than twenty four thousand villages of province has been completed while the Service Centers in this regard are fully functional in one hundred forty three Tehsils across the province.

Shahbaz Sharif directed to devise an effective plan for preservation of old settlement record.

Politicians job is to criticise opposition party. Sometimes it doesn't even have to make sense at all... He may continue the same rhetoric or find another reason to criticise. Good thing is if he used the term patwari, we have seen improvement in this culture at faster pace.

Seriously we badly need this in Mardan and surroundings. My father, grandfather spend their whole life in courts and wasted millions for just to proof the land we own is ours. And yet that didn't help. At least computerising will help us in court.

Federal government please now work on improving judicial system. Its totally crap, powerless and flawed ..
