Punjab CM agrees to dissolve assembly on March 19

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has agreed to dissolve the Punjab Assembly on March 19 as proposed by Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Express News reported on Saturday.
The decision was taken during a one-on-one meeting between Shahbaz and the premier. Shahbaz also requested Ashraf to replace governors, inspector generals of police and chief secretaries of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
The prime minister earlier met the four chief ministers to decide on a date to dissolve the assemblies and to discuss names for the post of caretaker chief ministers.
During the meeting, the premier talked to all chief ministers to form consensus over holding national and provincial assembly elections on the same day.
