Karachi is a good example.....Yes everyone hates the "other guy" but yet on most days the city sorts itself out and people deal with each other. They might not love each other but they realise for their own good, they have to get along.
You have pointed towards different threads on this forum and name calling....I just went through the article and from what I gather some dude made at jibe at him in class and here we have this guy using the word "genocide"....WTF????
These days things are exaggerated both the good and the bad and this article is one such example.
Don't wan't to bring in India but Pakistanis get along with each other a lot more than Indians......I have never seen a South Indian mingle with Indian Punjabis. Never seen such hostility among Pakistanis.
Punjabis, Pushtuns, Urdu Speaking, these are the Pakistanis I have interacted with abroad and I have never seen hostility among them.
I am from Karachi too, Karachi truly isn't a good example. All ethnicities are divided in to their own neighbourhoods and ghettos. They don't get along, they get by, and every now then these ethnic tensions boil over leading to ethnic riots. Most ethnic groups have their voting patterns, voting for their own ethnic BS parties. How many ethnic riots have we seen in Karachi alone over the years?
Mixing amongst different ethnic groups is good, I want to encourage this in Pakistan so no one remains a Punjabi or Pushtun or Muhajir Baloch etc. I come from a family of mix ethnicities. No one talks about their ethnicity being the best apart from joking banter, why? Because they all have familial relations with each other, this is how they get along and love each other. I am not content with Pakistanis merely getting along with each other, they need to love each other. If mix marriages speeds up this process, so be it.
Otherwise too much quam parasti in these stupid people. Sindhi bolay Punjabi, Muhajir Zalim, Muhajir bolay Punjabi, Sindhi zalim. Balouch bolay Punjabi zalim. Pushtun bolay Punjabi zalim. In Karachi, Pushtun punjabi bolay Muhajir zalim. Hazarewal bolay Pushtun zalim, Seraikis bolay Punjabi zalim and it goes on and on. Leading to ethnic violence, insurgencies and secessionists feelings and movements.
Sab ke ser pe danda rakh ke Pakistani bana na paregay ga.
