Pukhtoons need Justice in Pakistan

Karachi is a good example.....Yes everyone hates the "other guy" but yet on most days the city sorts itself out and people deal with each other. They might not love each other but they realise for their own good, they have to get along.

You have pointed towards different threads on this forum and name calling....I just went through the article and from what I gather some dude made at jibe at him in class and here we have this guy using the word "genocide"....WTF????

These days things are exaggerated both the good and the bad and this article is one such example.

Don't wan't to bring in India but Pakistanis get along with each other a lot more than Indians......I have never seen a South Indian mingle with Indian Punjabis. Never seen such hostility among Pakistanis.

Punjabis, Pushtuns, Urdu Speaking, these are the Pakistanis I have interacted with abroad and I have never seen hostility among them.

I am from Karachi too, Karachi truly isn't a good example. All ethnicities are divided in to their own neighbourhoods and ghettos. They don't get along, they get by, and every now then these ethnic tensions boil over leading to ethnic riots. Most ethnic groups have their voting patterns, voting for their own ethnic BS parties. How many ethnic riots have we seen in Karachi alone over the years?

Mixing amongst different ethnic groups is good, I want to encourage this in Pakistan so no one remains a Punjabi or Pushtun or Muhajir Baloch etc. I come from a family of mix ethnicities. No one talks about their ethnicity being the best apart from joking banter, why? Because they all have familial relations with each other, this is how they get along and love each other. I am not content with Pakistanis merely getting along with each other, they need to love each other. If mix marriages speeds up this process, so be it.

Otherwise too much quam parasti in these stupid people. Sindhi bolay Punjabi, Muhajir Zalim, Muhajir bolay Punjabi, Sindhi zalim. Balouch bolay Punjabi zalim. Pushtun bolay Punjabi zalim. In Karachi, Pushtun punjabi bolay Muhajir zalim. Hazarewal bolay Pushtun zalim, Seraikis bolay Punjabi zalim and it goes on and on. Leading to ethnic violence, insurgencies and secessionists feelings and movements.

Sab ke ser pe danda rakh ke Pakistani bana na paregay ga.

Guys, this is the definition of propaganda. Just take a step back and look at it.

No one in this country needs a certificate from anyone else to prove their patriotism. Every single group has sacrificed for this country and everyone has their share of contributions and their fair share of problems. Even two brothers living under the same roof can have differences. And we are a family of 200 Million MashaAllah :)

@KediKesenFare @Kaptaan

I finally agree with you, Pakistanis should be forced in to a single identity like the Turks. This Punjabi, Pushtun, Sindhi, Balouch, Kashmiri, Muhajir BS is getting annoyingly dangerous.

70 saal main Pakistani nahi ban sakay. First step, devolve ethnic based provinces in to districts.
What's happening in Pakistan right now? I don't get it. Are all these conflicts the result of the recent terror attacks?

What's happening right now is more dangerous than any terror attack.

I believe we should link these multiple identities to the Pakistani identity. If I am a proud Sindhi than it should automatically make me a proud Pakistani. Fortunately or unfortunately this is the only way forward I see if we want to make this federation a success.

We also shouldn't forget that Pakistan is a work in progress. I have spent my early childhood in KPK and my experience plus what I can gather from my father tells me that things have improved. Its just that because of social media you have these issues highlighted more.

The rest of us want justice against Pushtoon atrocities against us.
Heroin , narcotics , illegal weapons , it's Pushtoon products . Porous borders with Afghanistan, because pushtoon tribes have cousins on the other side and won't let the border sealed.
Go to Katachi Katii Pahari area and it looks like Waziristan with no non pushtoon allowed there.Every house has Kundaa and people don't pay utility bills, so isolating themselves from the rest of us on ethnic grounds is a push too. Hallmark and they don't integrate.
No tribal areas or rural KPK with pushtoon majority pays bills or generates taxes
Not paying taxes or bills and still wanting development same as Lahore where people pay bills and taxes, is another Pushtoon Humbug.
Sometimes it's better to look in the mirror.
What the hell is wrong with you....

@waz

This should not be tolerated here.

Well, in Karachi at least, I see a lot of inter-ethnicity marriages. I am myself an example.

I think that is the only way forward.

If I was the government, I would give incentives to people to inter-marry. ABCharlie Marriage Support Program.

Basically what you talked about in the previous thread is playing out in real life. And although I disagreed with you before, I now have to say that you were/are right.

Pakistanis are too divided over ethnic issues and get emotional. Even though the latest measures were being taken against the Afghans, but they have masterfully diverged it in to all Pushtun vs Punjabi thing. Proving that certain ethnicities feel more kinship to people outside of the country than others in their own country. We need a Mustafa Kemal type leader, but who's target is the ethnic differences.

That would be the second major program I would encourage if I was anywhere able to influence policy decisions. The first as mentioned, the abolishment of linguistic and ethnic based provinces. My experience is similar to yours', mixed marriages are the best way forward.

If all Pakistanis thought like you, then we wouldn't even be having this discussion. I salute you for this. Wish this thinking was more common because my experiences honestly are opposite amongst a significant minority of people I have interacted with.

What is happening is that all three big provinces have government from different parties and they can't get along with each other.

I dictated this Thread to my URDU SPEAKING BALOCH SINDHI and others . And it's a big shame that we can't get United because these Punjabis are taking most of the benefits from Pakistan.I hope we all learn to stand for what we are...
We are going the same way any 5% bigots out of a population do.
Unless or until we are committed to the cause of a United identity, Pakistan will be doomed.

There are self serving bigoted Punjabis , just as there are from other ethnicities.. the only reason we see more from Punjab is the larger population.. otherwise the percentage ratio is the same.

The only way to counter this is exposure and greater connectivity between the north and south. This is a crucial aspect of infrastructure and cross migration that people overlook.

Either way, we are in a state that this cannot be resolved that easily because we are a nacent nation and not an established civilization like the egyptians or the Turks.

They too have smaller disputes in society that show up in certain situations.

But nothing that leads to calls for independence or misrepresentation in all forms of society

Inter ethnic marriages are a great way for ethnic lines to be blurred. There have been some such marriages among our relatives which is good though I feel it hasn't had much effect on the ethnic problems and chauvinism in all the cases. I hope and wish the situation in Pakistan changes. We have to work together. Another thing is that each ethnic group has an elevated thinking of itself. That that ethnic group alone made Pakistan. Each ethnicity played a role. Punjab and Sindh through their votes for muslim league and Awadhites with spreading the ideology of Pakistan and migrating away many miles away because they believed in Pakistan.

I want ethnic divisions to end. Pakistaniat should make us one. And this applies to our religious diversity as well. We have to work together. if we keep voting ethnic we will turn into another Afghanistan or even worse Rwanda. We have to work together even if we do it only for the sake of Pakistan and its well being.

Pukhtoons need Justice in Pakistan

“My name is KHAN”, a Bollywood movie showed that how a Khan struggles and shows the world that Khans are not terrorists, even the President of United States of America was forced to admit that fact. One thing that caught my attention was the heroic saying by his mother that there are two type of people in this universe, one type is of good ones and the other type is of bad ones irrespective of nation, religion, cast, color etc. Look at your fingers, even they are not equal in size. Even a father having 2 sons, both of his sons have different habits, style, thinking etc. Then how can we believe that a specific large cast believing in “ISLAM” should have same doings or same thinking. Same is the case in Pakistan where Pukhtoons are at target and are considered as the destructors of Pakistan.

Due to recent attacks in Lahore, the Punjab police has issued written instructions to its personnel to keep an eye on people with Pashtun dresses and food habits as terror suspects. Police officials of Mandi-Bahaudin widely circulated written instructions for profiling of Pukhtoons with interesting details in this regard. Punjab police is keeping thousands of FATA Pukhtoons under surveillance and is checking their NICs and issuing directions to the local population for not renting out or selling properties to Pukhtoons hailing from FATA or Pakhtunkhwa. Punjab Rangers reportedly conducted 200 search operations across the province under the recently launched military operation Raddul-Fasaad taking 600 suspects into custody (mostly belonged to KPK/FATA). Not only Police, the heads of trade unions are also gathered for Pukhtoon’s genocide.

Pukhtoon shopkeepers are teased in different manners and are forced to submit their original NICs along with other documents, otherwise to be arrested.

Racial discrimination not ends here, we haven’t buried the moment when the IDPs from Malakand division and FATA were forced to leave their homes during military operations and were not allowed to enter Punjab province. Even their Pakistani Identity Cards couldn’t helped them. Media that claims a lot about the unjustness and unfairness of Muslim profiling in USA fails to see the racial discrimination against Pukhtoons under their nose. Media is using the term “Ja’n-baHaq” or “Intiqaal” for Pukhtoons departed souls and “Shaheed” for Punjabis, is this makes any sense?

If you consider Pukhtoons as terrorist, then declare Dr.Abdul Qadir Khan as a terrorist, and declare the cricket world cup champion Imran Khan a terrorist as well. Pukhtoons were always there to sacrifice their lives for nation, they have ruined their lives for this nation and now the nation is giving them a gift by calling them Terrorist in the return of their love for the country for which they fought from 1947 till now. There is no single war in which Pukhtoons didn’t helped the Armed forces of Pakistan, even then there are bombardments at Pukhtoons in KPK/FATA.

Few days ago, a Punjabi class fellow at university made the people of FATA responsible for the attack in Lahore, it felt like a slap on my face, on this I asked him that can you ever think about destroying a house for which your father and grandfathers have lost their lives. He was blank faced and I ended the discussion on this note that I am ashamed of the educated people who think Pukhtoon nation is terrorist, even acquiring that much education and sense their minds are not changed, what can then I expect from the uneducated individuals?

Troubling the people wearing white cap, turban, waistcoat, peshawri chappal and fair complexion (Pukhtoon) will cause Pakistan dreadful harm that can’t be healed and will lead to destabilization. If Punjab develops a way to determine which Muslim is a peaceful person, and which Muslim is a suicide bomber, please let the foreign countries know how you did it because they are also worried about it.

My Name Is Khan wasn't about Pashtuns though. I dont think Shahrukh Khan was playing one either.

I am the author of this Article, I shared my views.
May be it is not perfect, but Nothing can be perfect but it can be halted from imperfection.
And thank you for reading my article.
Hello Brother.

In my opinion, I think you exaggerated the events. A couple of unofficial and unauthorized posters have spiraled out 'of control'. Punjab Government already condemned the incident and investigated the matter. People behind the posters are most likely facing charges.

Note, as a Punjabi - if this was official, I would be just as enraged as Pashtuns. Punjab is known for it's diversity and tendancy to absorb all cultures and ethnicities. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated here.
