What is the status on there being a mass transit system in Karachi. I remember hearing about it every once in a while on newspapers, but it never seems to materialize, as it's never gone past the planning phase.
Why is that? Is it the politicians? not enough funds? contractors not participating? what?
Kind of embarrassing but you can finds some old posts on other forums where people were posting in 2004-2006 that a metro would be completed in Karachi in 2008-2011....and nothing like that has happened.
