Unfortunately, for many illnesses, the ultimate cure is always death.

In the US, COVID patients are being sent home and being asked to comeback when the symptoms become worse and they are about to die.

Life is hard.

Life is not meant for snow flakes.

Evolution happens by natural selection - Charles Darwin

How old are you? I know a lot of teenagers (including myself :cheesy: ) who acted like it was the end of the world after their first heartbreak.

Sad songs will help calm your sadness for a few days, but don't keep listening to them too much because you will keep remembering them and be depressed. Do not let your life be reduced to thinking about them all day. You shouldn't suppress the grief. Let it out of your system for the first days/weeks. But after that refrain from obsessing over them.

Don't worry about women for a while, just socialise with male friends/relatives. After that socialise with other women, and you will soon forget about your ex.

You were not attracted to her, but what you thought she was. If you ever find yourself missing her just remember how she broke your heart. That's what she truly was.

She was not the only "one." I know the feeling. Believe me, they are right when they say "all girls are the same" and "they are plenty of fish in the sea."

Ok, going by other replies it looks like your girlfriend left you.

The first thing I would advice is ye girlfriend/boyfriend ke chakar chor do. It's haram, you are a Muslim, you should refrain from it. If you want a woman in your life, get a wife. You're heart broken over this girl, you think maybe you loved her, but we lose sight of what real love is. InshaAllah the day you become a parent you'll see real love. When you hold your children, when they smile at you, when they hold your finger, that immense love - that's true love. At that moment you'll finally realise how much your own parents love you. Every time you sacrifice for your children you'll realise how much your parents loved you.

Love gets even deeper - when the kids are keeping you up at night, when you are struggling to sleep because of the crying, when you are infuriated by the baby - look next to you, you'll see your wife, exhausted, deprived of sleep, this beautiful woman now without even the time to brush her hair because of this baby, yet whilst you're getting angry and frustrated, she'll be devoted to your child, nursing it, trying to make it feel better, even if she's in tears her self. THAT is true love - that of a mother and a child. That intensity we men will never understand.

But love gets deeper than that. Allah loves you more than 70 mothers could, it's love beyond any a human can imagine. If we know that - can we not toe the line between halal and haram? Can we not refrain for the sake of he who loves us more than 70 mothers?

Join gym. Build muscles and get a better girl than her or kill her with a pencil.

Go to washroom, lock the door and cry out loud......

After that do s@x whatever walking breathing thing available around you.

I agree with this advice. If you must continue on haram path then your solution is to find another woman. Orgasm is a great way to fix depression.

Yeah, reminds me of my first one... We were classmates, talked 24/7 and were practically inseparable. It'll get better, even though that may feel impossible at the moment. Just don't let your life be reduced to remembering her and trying to get her back, because that ain't happening, and besides she'll probably move on from you in a few weeks, if she hasn't already.

You're a 4th year medical student? Where are you studying?

I would advise that you seek counseling son because what you are suffering through is not PTSD. PTSD has a very clear criteria... Anyways, all the best. Heartbreak is hard but its not post-traumatic stress disorder.

Ma'am but how did you overcome all this ?

I never went into depression. The first breakup was very hard. He was a Muslim and I deeply loved him. I did everything to keep the relationship going but his family had reservations. The second one was a Hindu. I broke it. So I have no one to blame. I think I want to date a Christian next. Someone like Snehesh Alex Philip.
