Khursheed Shah Terms Calling Army In Islamabad As ‘Mini Martial Law’



Khursheed Shah has strongly criticized the government’s move to invoke Article 245 in the federal capital, terming it as “Mini Martial Law”.

While speaking in the National Assembly on Tuesday, Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah said the Pakistan People’s Party always supported democracy but by calling Army in Islamabad, government was showing its weakness.

He asked why the Parliament wasn’t taken into confidence before calling the military in Islamabad, adding that PM Nawaz Sharif should learn from mistakes of the past.

The opposition leader argued that if democracy is derailed, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would be responsible, and also announced a movement against the government's move if the decision is not reversed.

Only when the water is well above PM's head. Was he sleeping during past 14 months?

Nawaz Sharif went through the same sort of power crisis in all his tenures.

He didn't share power with any parties. Both brothers even didn't select their cabinets. Which means even they didn't share power in their own party. Only power shared was with Maryium Sharif and Hamza Sharif. Can you imagine their mind set.

I think they should immediately share power with all the parties almost the same way Zardari did during his tenure. If Nawaz had shared power with MQM and ANP, at this time those parties could very easily used against Imran Khan.

Fazal ur Rehman could be given the governorship of KPK. Just imagine if Fazul ur Rehman had the governorship what could be the condition of Imran Khan in KPK. Same way if ANP had given power in KPK and at the Center they could have counter Imran Khan very easily.

Most of people in the rally are coming from Punjab, where younger Sharif was the sole power. If they had shared power with Pervaiz Ellahi and also given proper representation throughout the Punjab, Imran won't be able to mobilize people for his rally. Right now the only representation in Punjab is of 'But's", anyone with the name of But is elected. Can you imagine the royal style of governance.

Sharif's have elected a dummy President. The president should be selected from South Punjab, Baluchistan or from the interior, it could have lots of good impact on the people. They could believe in the good governance of the Sharif family.

Sharif's have dug their own grave. Time is slipping out of their hands.

Everybody knows PTI is politically in a no-body position. Their resignations would rather cost them dearly than create any political ripples in parliamentary setup
In KPK their gap can be plugged by the opposition.
In NA they are behind even PPPP in seats.
They are also going to lose out seats in Senate elections due in a year or so (Since senate's members are elected in two tranches).
So despite the hue and cry, PTI walas know that they just can't impact the equation significantly.......

my forecast, After this dharna which is mother of alldharna by PTI, PTI will go in hiding and Imran will give up hopes for any future premierships. PMLN will have smooth sailing after august 15 and will come out stronger. This is the dumbest move by Imran by any count
