It's even more vital now, more than ever, to increase the political and social participation of minorities. It's not enough to simply give them seats in the senate, but their concerns must be listened, and they should be actively recruited to keep Pakistanis (majority and minority) safe from harm.

There's an open border to Afghanistan that runs along 2250km of your country's west. Add to that the various sleeper cells and self-radicalized individuals. This is a social problem, not an isolated concern that can be dealt with solely through military means. If these guys were foreigners then we might have done away with them by now, but since they're popping out from our own body, what can you say? Its like cancer, even though you get it excised and then get chemo, there's always that chance that it will come back, can't blame the chemo for that, problem is with you.

So what's the function of army? isn't it protecting the borders of the country? If no one can penetrate Pakistan from Indian border then why Afghan border is always an excuse? Isn't it ironic that it wasn't Pakistan but India that started fencing the border first. And the wires for our Khokharpar borders were supplied by Iraqis.

On the sleeper cells and radicalization, even the South Punjab the so called hive of extremists turned out to be a short romance with Chotu gang. Everybody knows who are the breeders and where are the hives. Not a single seminary raided. Lal masjid wala fasadi continues to roam free. Jesh/JuD/ASWJ continue to operate freely despite banned. Why so? because these are the "useful people". Not me and people like me would go out to fight the proxy war but these people would. So I always say that they will never be touched because you never know when they come handy
