And then what? Change of government by mob rule? Immediate elections? What is the endpoint here?
Nothing will happen. Early elections are out of question. If the current government agrees for the early elections, the current popularity shows PDM would lose them and IK will get more than 2/3rd.
The best time of elections was immediately after the NCM.
What Imran Khan is doing is gaining further popularity. He won't allow the current government to sit still, and as he is a player, he always waits for the others to commit mistakes. He is right up to the mark till now. Everyday, current regime and its handlers are doing something that is benefitting PTI.
The moment khan goes quiet, he will start losing popularity, and the relief period will give the current regime some chance to concentrate and avoid deadly mistakes.
Mistake number 1 was when they didn't hold elections immediately after the NCM
Mistake number 2 was when they didn't accept resignations of PTI MNAs. They couldn't have hold elections on those resigned seats and got some additional strength in the NA.
Mistake number 3 was the harrassment of opposing voices on social media. To this day, they are continuing with that and it is increasing the popularity of Khan.
Mistake number 4 was when they didn't increase the fuel price immediately, and that resulted in devaluation because of balance of payment issues. Khan did that on purpose, they couldn't reverse although it was in their hands completely.
Mistake number 5, they snatched the title of "selected" from Khan and displayed that with a lot of pride.
Mistake number 6, they harassed a very reknowned journalist to leave the country, now even they weren't involved in his killing, people won't understand.
Mistake number 7, they immediately changed the accountability laws and got away with the financial crimes. Result? increase in Khan's popularity.
Mistake number 8, they couldn't put a leash on Election Commission.. that has been acting so biased against just one party. It opposed the EVM machines that could have facilitated overseas voters (90% of whom are now supporters of Khan). Toshakhan case was another one when EC crossed the line and disqualified him. Again, Khan got a lot.. people usually support a cornered tiger.. specially when the person doesn't show any weakness. It is human nature.
Mistake number 9, they let the estabslishment come out in open against Khan.. and we all know what was the result of that presser.
Mistake number 10 (the most important one),
they are blackmailing establishment as well against supporting Khan's demands of early elections.
I can go on and on with the list. There is not a day passes when we don't hear about a stupidity of the current regime. Even with 99% media support, they are unable to build their image.
