PTI demand resignation of PM and President

If at all, COAS is to be blamed, he can simply point out to the Kerry luger bill. which clearly says that USA has the right to hot pursuit OML with or without Pakistan's permission.

Im sure we all know who signed on that.

I just had to copy paste that again in a bold font.

Hi,

while I understand what you are trying to say, but look at it this way - Has the civil govt. blamed Army / ISI/ PAF for this incident? Did they ask for their resignations, Has the prime minister taken the public into confidence and said that he'll sack those who are inquired to be responsible? The answer is No!

I would have believed it had the Govt sacked / asked for resignation of COAS, DG ISI or AF Cheif and they refused to do so. Both civil and military leadership share the responsibility and this being a democratic govt. (which they brag about too often) and president being the supreme commander of military has to take the blame and either resign or take COAS to task.

Tell me one thing. Why would any civilian politician in Pakistan risk his career, life and position by threatening these all powerful jarnails especially after having witnessed the fate of Nawaz Sharif and others.

They simply don't have the spine to raise a voice against these general and justifiably so.

The push has to come from the society, which IK claims to represent.

I answered it. You didn't see.

Why doesn't he ask for the resignation of the real culprits in all this, the head of ISI, COAS and PAF chief.

The civilian gov does not not have much say in this, its entirely the Armies fault and they should be made answerable to others.

I think that Khan does not want to upset his masters and that is why the real culprits aren't mentioned.

This is no more 1999. The ground realities have changed. If the civil govt asks for the resignations, I'm sure the public will stand behind them after what they have seen on May 2nd.

That's exactly what my point is.

You are sure of this. This may or may not be true.

But they, the politicians, are not convinced.

That is because of their own incompetence and corruption.

That is because of their own incompetence and corruption.

That would not be the correct reason.

Politicians are corrupt and incompetent in all countries of the world. Even in the US.

But many times, they do show some spine. For example, Salman Taseer or Sherry Rehman.

Salman Taseer was killed and Sherry Rehman was shouted down.

I'm not saying they were/are not corrupt. I'm saying they spoke when the time demanded the most.

In the case of Pakistan, however, it seems whenever a politician like Sharif seems to speak up, he's shouted out by the jarnails.

Only body that can correct this is the general public. You people.

and IK claims to be a rep. of you guys. So it's but natural that he showed some spine too.

However, as is becoming evident, he is more interested in gaining brownie points by being in the good books of the jarnails than actually speaking up for what is right.
