Pseudo secular India: The only country in the world with 'super minorities'

1. Issue of Polygamy and Women's rights - Govt understandably cannot take a firm decision on Uniform Civil Code in absence of national consensus among Muslims on this matter as this can sow the seeds of further communal disharmony . I and many others whom I know belong to Muslim community are firm proponents of Uniform Civil Code but it is important to realize the following facts

a. Deferment of Uniform Civil Code was a bargain made with some influential Muslim parties in return for their support to India and firm advocacy by Muslims Leaders to preserve their practices. With the benefit of hindsight we can say nothing good has come out of it but still this can be construed as a case of preserving individual rights of Muslims however antiquated and offensive to modern sensibilities they might be.

b. No govt, even the staunchest of right wing specially them would take the risk to legislate on this matter. Less i say about left and congress the better. Hence all hope lies with judiciary, who would only make firm ruling (not observations) when the public opinion is unanimously favorable. I don't see it happening anytime soon hence it is perhaps better we devote our energies to other causes like social development, education, infra etc.

I do believe that as modern times change old perceptions most muslims of Lucknow at least will be willing to give up polygamy. Only a fraction-a tiny minority of muslims practice polygamy. It is not even counted as a problem of religious freedom. The cow slaughter ban, false framing of muslims as terrorists, mistreatment of muslims and oppression, hindu rules imposed on us and autonomy of muslim regions are more on our cards or should I say those ghulams who praise India and bash Pakistan to please Hindus. My own stand is Lucknow's merger with Pakistan.

But the problem is India and Indians do not see it this way. Giving muslim more rights will make more ghulam muslims. They can win muslims over but are dominated by the false belief that Muslims already have extra rights.

Tall talks for someone who is known for ethnic minorty cleansing.

I agree we have some incidents happening. But it is not as serious as our crooked msm shows.

If you want, i can show different means employed in Pakistan to force minorities to suffer in different ways.

Muslims in India and other countries like Pakistan need to realize, we are in 21st century and some things such as mindset, approach need to change. Or else it will end up creating two societies... One knowledgeable and rich vs illiterate and poor.

Regards
I have always fought for ijtehad and modern thought. That is not the problem. The problem is simple. The lack of justice for those that have suffered at the hands of Hindutva Indians. Justice and egalitarianism can help deeply. But Muslims killed in Gujarat nor those killed in Mumbai got any form of justice. Where will their families go? To Pakistan of course and now many are working to break India. Fix your problems and think empathetically. It will help deeply.

BJP won with a freakin mega mandate, where the hell is uniform civil code?

day by day, this government is beginning to shape up like UPA-3

@haviZsultan

Justice !!!

Do U want people to dig out Skeletons from the Past ???

We all will be ashamed .

Oh ! Beacon of Justice , Show similar Views for humans as whole and not Muslims as Humans and rest as Animals .

Why not PM Modi declared the his intention to pass UCC during Bihar elections?

Why not he formed EGoM on UCC legislation, when all the sickulars making calls for award wapsi? He can set standards for secularism, but he shied away to do so

with wet reams of breaking India, already you have lost half of your country, less said about the rest, will be better.
As far as your deep concern for the riot victims , I am sure you must carry the same feeling of hatred for the instigators of direct action day too?

Your story doesnt matter here.

The Indian media continues to perpetuate the myth that Muslims are treated in a way that is special. The author conveniently forgets massacres carried out against muslims and the beef ban in a region that is majority muslim. Perpetuating this myth is a disservice to the secular system which people in India are being led to believe is favorable to muslims or christians. It is a dangerous myth because this does not allow them to raise the real issues-the issue of minority rights
ok if you feel the minorities are not treated equally, then you must be ok with the uniform civil code right.

They carry this same feeling not just against India, but also against there own citizens and those are muslims too.

@MilSpec

UCC is in BJP manifesto. It cannot be brought since it is considered as constitutional change.

BJP needs 2/3rd majority in both houses to pass it. Some rules which our democracy asks for have to be met.

But we are hearing some good news now. For ex. Supreme Court is willing to support UCC and asked Govt to file response within coming months.

Problem is, everyone knows its good for India. But we have Lalu, Nitish, Mulayam, SP, Kejriwal, Mamta and their god father Congress who will never agree to this.

Because the day this UCC is passed Mandal commission loses value. No more caste or minority or such electoral issues. Plus unfortunately our masses do not see or think of good for country. Their thinking is limited to caste or community or religious growth. Its shameful but reality no matter how much educated our masses are.

Hope you understand. Dont lose your patience. The man in charge needs support and majority.

If he can do ruthlessly in Gujrat. He can do for India too.

You think if he get the majority in RS, suddenly he pass the legislation?

UCC atleast need 1-1.5 years of work in formalizing the legislation.

The break up of Bengal was a work of the enemies of our religion. 320 million muslims, the largest muslim state in the world was broken up. We muslims have collectively lost more than gained because of it. But these attempts do not work or dissuade us from our purpose of freeing Lucknow. We realize that the biggest enemy of Islam is India. If it had any love for Bengal it wouldn't be repeating Pakistan's poor policy in Bengal on Kashmir. You are doing the same thing the Pakistani politicians and Yahya/Tikka did in Bengal.

PM Modi Announces Rs 80,000 Crore Package For Jammu and Kashmir

That's nearly double to that of Pakistan's military budget, to give you a rough idea.

No relief package announced in Kashmir or Lucknow will convince us to abandon our quest for independence. This isn't a movement that can be bought. It can be influenced however by giving muslims equal rights by stopping arresting them on false charges of terror, kidnapping them and not giving them jobs. Most of all we want justice for the people we knew whom India killed.
