Minority has to follow the rule in same way as majority has to. Person violated the rule of marriage act. There is no one stoping him to marry the girl if he does the right way. As I have listed all three applicable laws in India, one for Hindu marriage act, one for Minority marriage act and last special marriage act. He didn't follow any of the rules for marriage. May be his friends would have guided him wrongly or may be he didn't know exactly the laws at all. One doesn't need to know the details of marriage act but at least you should know the basic rules if you are going into a union with a girl whom you love so much. Fault lies with him, not society. I wouldn't bring Pakistan in it as I don't think they come any closer to us when it comes to flexibility in marriage acts. And mudslinging will get me no where. Thank you.

So hue and cry of Indians for rights of minorities when Minorities are treated like dirt in India...Time for some introspection before b!tching about others..

Err, the girl is hindu. Isn't her rights trampled too? Or is the girl considered invisible when it comes to marriages?

My friend it's not about the act or legality of the Marriage but the pressure from certain extremist elements which lead to it..for example

Some religious orgnaisations ok they were protesting but how come parents become extremists. They were girl's parent who had filed the complaint that their girl was missing. Will you not file a complaint with investigative athorities if your girl goes missing? Those organizations had no role in complaint which parents of the girl had registered. Parents went and registered the complaint as per rules and police did what a athority should do after receiving such complaints. They traced the girl and after finding that boy and girl had taken violated the rule applicable in marriage, both were separated. God forbid if parents register an FIR on rape charges the boy he will be really screwed. As he was legally not the husband of girl, he will be in trouble, but till now it seems girl family are trying to hide it as much as they can. This is golden chance for the boy to concentrate on good things in life instead of going behind fantasy of love making. Thank you.

Girl is legally allowed to go in marriage union but she didn't follow the follow the law. Thank you.

The article is somewhat wrong on technicalities. No one needs to convert to any religion to marry anyone else in India. If they do convert, they need to give a one month notice to the DC so that he can verify it is not a forced conversion. In this case, the rule was breached. Its quite simple.

Dude, use credible sources. I dont mind you posting bad news, but use credible sources so that we may discuss it further.
The second thing is that the proof of the pudding lies in the eating. If intolerance is a criteria then you should consider why Indians are not fleeing to Pakistan out of persecution. We on the other hand have hundreds of Pakistani Hindus and Sikhs coming as refugees. Imagine going to third world country like India for refuge.

Secondly, I have given you UN rule of Law index. You can see India ranks far above Pakistan.

Both these factors should give you an inkling of which way the wind is blowing. You are arguing a futile point here.

Lol. Read the article. He had married the girl in a hindu ceremony and which indirectly meant, he had converted to hinduism. But officially, he is still a christian. Thats a major disadvantage of having different Personal laws for different religion.
If one had Universal Civil Code, then no one would be able to do anything.
In Southern states, mens are converting to christianity, Islam to marry the gal, so much for secularism and freedom and to prove the love. Bet will yu do the same for a girl of another community? Def No. Dont talk if you don know nothing.
