Protesters gather at Musharraf political rally
Saturday, 02 Oct, 2010

LONDON: Protesters are gathering in a British city ahead of a political rally to be addressed by former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf.

The ex-military ruler is launching a new political party, called the All Pakistan Muslim League. He is due to address a rally of around 1,500 people in Birmingham on Saturday.

The Islamist political organization Hizb ut-Tahrir gathered outside the rally venue, holding banners that read ''Pakistan needs an accountable ruler.''

Group spokesman Taji Mustafa says the protesters want to show that Musharraf fuelled divisions within Pakistan and that the country needs new leadership that is not subordinate to the US.

Like Sir. Musharraf said they are misguided people and it is true the protesters were most likely from PPP or PML-N or Jamat e Islami. Who ever they were they are totally misguided people and we have always seen in Pakistan that who ever runs the country best is always insulted by the people and these people have always supported the corrupt and murderers party I really don't know and don't understand whats the reason behind that either all the Pakistani people are sleeping or they have gone mad. God save Pakistan.
Pakistan Zindabad Pakistan Paindabad

The protests in the main were done by Hizb ut-Tahrir who unfortuantely are a very organised body here in the UK.

In a heavily muslim Pakistani populated area like Birminghan, it's not difficult to get 50-100 people together to protest from their ranks.

Yeah for those who worship Busharaf all his opponents are misguided... It reminds me of what he has written in his book... Busharaf blames everyone except himself for the problems of Pakistan...

Coward... He ll sell all of Pakistan for a cheap price if he had half the chance... Stop comparing him to others... He is no different from Zardari and Nawaz Sharif...

These are the khilafa fanactics who want to subjugate the entire world to arab imperialism. Some of the idealogies of these people are truly ridiculos. I wonder why the west is still harbouring them and does not consider them another form of Nazis??
