protest in NY against indian diplomat

says the chinese whose immigrant groups contribute to welfare frauds, sex and prostitution rings in the US as a part of their embedded history. There is joke in SF, you will never find a red light bulb for sale in Chinatown- it is all bought by the chinese for their " businesses"

Here is @JayAtl supporting his mother India against America. To others, you would appear as a spy within, a traitor. But your views are made so clear that you are just a foreigner(indian) living in America that its obvious you would support India in this incident even though the India diplomat is clearly wrong here.

Unfortunately for her, even India tried to clever and moved her to the UN, upgraded her diplomatic role will not be able to shield her from prosecution since her new diplomatic immunity cannot be applied retroactively.

She has to go through the trial here in the US. And if she is found innocent, then she can take up her UN job. India need to find someone else to fill that UN role.

.
Your concept of protest is messed up. I cant help that. So avoid me quoting for what your imagination or dire need to relate singular incident to Nation India. Whatever that makes you happy. Just forgive me.

Be sure to comment same when you see others burning flags too ;)

I've allready commented.
As i've allready explained it to other indian posters, just because i don't agree with India's stance on this issue,or some any other future issues, that doesn't mean i'm anti indian in everything (like some chinese posters per example).
You guys shouldn't be so jumpy, not everybody is out to get you know.

What would you have done if there was a spat between US and taiwan? which country you would have supported? I guess taiwan... why do Americans have to treat a Indian Diplomat like she was a murderer .How can a person pay more than the salary he/she get, and moreover it's not the first time they have done so. We are not a super power but we are definitely a proud nation. We have a history or more than 12000 yrs. What is USA, a country formed by killing and massacring the aboriginal amerikans and that too only 300 years old. USA need india more than India need them. USA has much more to learn and prove than india has to. they are double standard people.

Not really,i doubt we will see americans burning indian flags and stoning indian food joints.India wins the "protest" thingy hands down.

Indeed! You won't see Americans burning Indian flags and stoning Indian businesses here. I expected this kind of behavior from other countries, not 'civilized' India. Up until now, I've been mostly silent on this issue. Preferring to be logical and rational about it. Attempting to try and take a step back & understand the other side and not act like a typical hyper-nationalist with knee jerk reactions.

Extremely disappointed in some of the belligerent comments here from some Indians. I honestly expected better...

Same here and i've tried to explain that but it's a futile attempt against the India STRONG 111 crowd.
Sanity gone...forward empty nationalism !

.
So @Sashan - Bro, where are you on this one ?

Or are you torn between - Whom do I support - My Country or My Country ? :undecided:

I can see one escape route for this woman, and it depends on the attitude of the Indian government, which means how humble India will behave on this matter.

The US might provide a safe passage for this woman through Mexico by asking the border agents to turn a blind eye when she crosses(since her passport has been taken away and since she is brown enough to pass for a Mexican and since the borders between Mexico and the US are busy and porous). Once she is in Mexico, she gets a new passport and flies out back to India. Say good bye to the $250,000 bail.

So now white Americans will teach a lesson to us on slavery ?

Biggest joke of the last 4 centuries :lol::lol:

Yes! Because while white americans ended slavery by themselves you actually needed the british to hang some indians to end appaling practices like Sati

Sati (practice) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sir Charles James Napier :

Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs."

Sir Charles James Napier :

It was Raja Rammohan Roy who led the movement against Sati and persuaded British to ban it, while many countries of Europe too had evil practices like the customs witch-burning till mid 1700s.

Which, again, they ended by themselves, not at the tip of a bayonette from a foreign power/culture.;)

P.S. I just love it how the "white americans " are the first to be signed out by some of you when the US president is black while the prosecutor is an indian. :woot:

But why let logic stay against your desgusting "whites are evil anyway"?

Sati (practice) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sir Charles James Napier :

Stop exposing you stupidity and dishonesty with an utterly biased reading of history.

The leader of the burgeoning Swaminarayan sect, Sahajanand Swami, was influential in the eventual eradication of sati. He argued that the practice had no Vedic standing and only God could take a life he had given. He also argued that widows could lead lives that would eventually lead to salvation. Sir John Malcolm, the Governor of Bombaysupported Sahajanand Swami in this endeavor, whose domino effect led to other social reforms.[30]

From about 1812, the Bengali reformer Raja Rammohan Roy started his own campaign against the practice. He was motivated by the experience of seeing his own sister-in-law being forced to commit sati. Among his actions, he visited Calcutta cremation grounds to persuade widows against immolation, formed watch groups to do the same, and wrote and disseminated articles to show that it was not required by scripture.

From the same link, Btw.

You may know slavery was non-existent in our society throughout history except for practiced by foreign invaders. Greek ambassador Megasthenes in 300BC wrote that he saw no slaves in India.
