.
They must not show the prophet pbuh face,
Also since it was made by iran it will be interesting to see how they depict the prophet pbuh Companions especially Abu-bakr,Omar and Osman May allah be pleased with them.

Good for you. no such thing as Shia and Sunnis existed during Prophet's childhood, so you can sit down and enjoy a professional and well-built movie, already the most expensive film project among all Muslim countries.
And that's something to be proud of? Not a single movie made about our forefathers in 4 decades of arab rule and you're bragging about the most expensive film project based on an arab's life, funded by public funds? Seriously? I expected more from you.

I'm not bragging about it dear, but a movie's value revolves about other things. You may hate Islam, but you can't deny that it's important to many people inside Iran. Forget about Mullahs. This movie has nothing to do with Mullahs and its costs and funds are all all private. If you knew the director, you wouldn't say that. Also, he has been nominated for an Oscar years ago.

I do agree with you about not making a proper movie about our forefathers. Not that mullahs didn't allow it or that it's only their fault, but no one with good capabilities accepted the huge responsibility. A movie about Cyrus is about to be built, but if that is not a strong movie, I prefer it never goes to screens.

You should also ask Darren Aranofsky why he produced the Noah, a movie about someone who racially, has nothing to do with Americans. Or you could ask the very same question from Mel Gibson for making Passions of Christ.

Dude give it a rest. You're a smart guy, but for the sake of neutrality you always try to hide your true values and feelings. It's not about hate, it's about love for my own culture and history. If millions in Iran worship these arabs it is because that's all they know. For 4 decades they have lived under an arab theocracy, an arab theocracy that wanted to bulldoze Takht Jamshid. They have systematically tried to erase our history and legacy and replace it with arab culture, history and mindset. Not surprisingly there are millions upon millions of Iranians who are now de facto Persian speaking arabs.

And of course the funds are private. And I'm a billionaire and I sleep with Natalie Portman every night.

It have nothing to do with arabs
You said they are persian speaking arabs
In the arab and sunni world they say that the iranian government is majoosi Zoroastrian governmant and persian nationalist government
While you say they are anti persian culture arabs
The arabs say iranian government is anti arab persian nationalist government

I do love our own culture and history and I already said that I'm disappointed that a decent movie has not been produced yet.

After 40 years of mullah rule, you'd be surprised to know that Iran's population has became much more educated, modern and to some extent, even more secular compared to Shah times, but still religion plays a role in lives of many people, even if many of them have a secular mindset.

I'm not hiding anything. This movie is not funded by government. You may not believe it, but in Iran too, there are some things called as producers! real persons I mean.

As you see, no one can erase our history, the more you try it, the more people get educated about it. So no worries about that. No one is going to bulldoze Persepolis and it's still one of the most visited places in Iran. You know idiots exist everywhere and some nutjob's theory on bulldozing Takhte Jamshid (which I barely know where it came from actually) should not make you believe that it's actually going to happen.

Please don't be a mullah apologist, you're an intelligent person, everyone in this forum knows that.

How are they going to do a movie about the prophet without depicting him in an actual actor?
Also I dont know what is the deal with this haram thing. Why is it haram to portray prophet Muhammed?
Its not like Muhammed was holy. He was just a man, a messenger. Not God himself.
Have you ever seen this one
Mohammad, Messenger of God - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So the act itself (portraying him) is not haram, but its not done out of fear what will follow afterwards, if someone does? Right?
The act of portraying is not harm , but lying about him and relate something wrong to him is Haram , now if you can portray him correctly there is no problem , but if the portraying is according to your imagination then that would be a problem .

As New mentioned in the chill thread, the movie is indeed being funded by public funds. There's no such a thing as private sector in Iran to begin with, especially in a heavily controlled industry like TV and cinema which is 100% government controlled and regulated. You need to stop being an akhoond apologist for internet brownie points and as a face saving measure.

And of course Takhte Jamshid could have been bull dozed. They destroyed many other historical sites, systematically burned down cinemas/theaters and executed more than 100K human beings in a matter of years.

Good question. lol
What is your answer to that? lol
There is God and he is within all of us. Our duty is to realize his presence and submerse our self with the god. Now what path or means one chose to do so should be left to individual. He can realize his own way or follow established path ( religions) does not make any difference. All path leads to the same Destination. ( basis bare bone Hindu philosophy ;) )

I guess it's not a first movie so what do we get by creating a thread ?? :undecided:

As long as the grave worshipers dont show the face of the prophet, I am kool.
Guess being a grave worshipper is a thousands time closer to Islam teaching than being a slaver and murderer whose joy in life is beheading civilians and football with their head. And for the side dish tasting their liver .
Or as teaching course teach 5 years olds how to behead others or crucify 13 year olds for not fasting and kill 12 year olds for not giving you free tea.

.
lol, no but really.
Why is it haram to portray the prophet?
He was just flesh and blood. Not an angel or godly creature.
Well based to the Muslims shea and sunni excluding the (selefiest and the wahabsts) we muslms believe that the prophet Mohammed PBUH is the lord of all the prophets let alone the angels because we believe as Muslims a good man that follow the prophet Mohammed PBUH is better than the angels.

What you said exactly what the whaabists believe of prophet as a man that did his job and gone then we should according to them we shouldn't considering him as a holy man.
