Pardon, but I don't understand what a F-35A being lifted onto a lorry has to do with my post "This mock-up idea was nothing but a fancy fan-made artwork!" :fie:

I think I was posting something else and this picture somehow remained on clipboard. I posted and immediately changed screen. Don't know anymore where does it come from. Totally lost. Pardon.

@Deino at-last, figured it out...

The U.S. Navy Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has released new concept art of its future fighter jet, which is intended to replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in the 2030s.
As part of the F/A-XX program, the Navy hopes to build a family of low-cost, strike fighter jets.
According to the NAVAIR, F/A-XX specific capabilities and technologies are under development, however analysis shows it must have longer range and greater speed, incorporate passive and active sensor technology, and possess the capability to employ the longer-range weapons programmed for the future. As the Super Hornets are retired from service, a combination of F-35C and F/A-XX will provide Navy tactical fighter aircraft capability and capacity within the CVW.

Also noted is that as the Super Hornets are retired from service, a combination of F-35C and F/A-XX will provide Navy tactical fighter aircraft capability and capacity within the CVW.
The advanced carrierbased power projection capabilities resident in F/AXX will maintain CVN relevance in advanced threat environments.

The F/A-XX concept art that NAVAIR has released shows canards, a pseudo lambda/delta wing similar to the YF-23.
The Navy said that the ultimate concept must reliably incorporate future key technologies–propulsion, sensors, networks, automation, and others–within the bounds of affordability.

Honestly the deadline is 2030 we have to make sure AZM doesn't only fly by 2030 but it has to get into service. It doesn't matter where we get the engines from whether it will be Turkish, Chinese or local engine it doesn't matter at all to begin with but the most important aspect is getting an engine for this thing and getting it into Sky by 2027 and in service by 2030 max this should be the target and it should be pursued much more aggressive.

The benefits that came with Azm 5th generation and technically it is a 6th generation because it has features that 5th generation aircrafts doesn't have yet and I don't wanna mention to much into it to give away anything here but all I can tell you is that Air-superiority against all comers could be assured depending on how it does against other like minded fighter jets like F-22 and this will be key which is to top F-22. As they say if you don't wanna be the best there is no reason in trying and we should aim for the best period this is just a principle. If you wanna make a machine you gotta aim for the best of machines there is no second fiddle policy here.

What is end goal target here?

Complete air-superiority against all comers and such an air-superiority that can be sustained for atleast one and half decade to almost 2 decades if you get one massive head jump the remaining aircrafts will re-modify couple of times but it won't be enough until that time period but the aim is absolute kingship over the skies supremely and unapologetically

you'll be waiting alot longer than 2030 if you think azm is gonna be even remotely a domestic effort.

Just hope and pray that we can allocate a budget for an off-the-shelf buy, maybe license production at a push, for something Chinese, or if it actually happens, Turkish.

Such a defeated attitude but then again they said that about jf17.
Better to try and fail than to be a slave of the gora shahibs for ever

unfortunately, it seems like we have given up on the try aspect of this aswell. Its no easy feat, the JF-17 in comparison was going to be a way, way easier task. This on the other hand, very unlikely to get anywhere for now, whether they try again in the future is to be seen, however, when key persons are leaving AvRID, it should probably be a bit of an indication towards where things are heading. Giving these kinda tasks to fresh grads without direction is moot.

We are not gonna take no for an answer.. Not in this lifetime. I could be open to Chinese or Turkish engines however and not a single delay in the deadline.. Heads will be rolling if deadline is not meet this is do or die.. This means business...

Worry about engines later, first we need to figure out how to keep people onboard, alongside fund the research and development, then worrying about engines and key components.
