Problem with Pakistani fans!

One reason why the sub-continent is so passionate about cricket is the lack of world class athletes. I know this answer will rattle a lot of people but it is a bitter truth.

When we talk about sports in south Asia then the first thing that comes to mind is cricket, a sport played by barely 11 countries. In sports like soccer we don't even exist. In Olympic we start from the bottom of the table. The south Asian region does not have any world-famous athlete. West Indies has Usain Bolt, Australia has Ian Thorpe, both Olympic legends and world famous. Cricket is the only sport where we all excel and can beam with pride.

Cricket is a religion in south Asia, the region's only claim to global fame. Thus when players fail then the nationalist pride takes a hit. You cannot analyse a match as only a match in South Asia. A game is not won or lost here but many emotions are attached and the aggressive marketing only increases the pressure.
India has a lesser problem than Pakistan.

We are WAY over the board. Example, Muka ad RSA vs Ind. Then Muka ad Ind vs Pak.

It's very sensible to say India is heading into right direction. The reason why India is progressing in other sports is because it isn't as attached to cricket as Pakistan is. We gave up our hockey, squad and so forth for the sake of cricket. Ask a kid what sports he want to play "cricket! I want to be afridi!" We're too emotionally attached to cricket and because of this, we've neglected other sports, where we were once unbeaten champs many times, now we finish bottom of the list.

.
Put in your OP then:

WI have bad management and bad squad. They lost to ireland (not full member) but they weren't treated so badly as when we lost to WI (full member). This speaks about how emotionally challenged pakistanis are compared to other nation, who also seem to be facing similar problem. Example, England. 100/3 to 123 all out, but English fans didn't abuse its team the way we did.

anyways

Teams have up and down. We whitewash australia when we didn't think of it. It was same management, same younis, same misbah. When we win, balay team balay management. Lose one game "misbah should die, afridi should die" and one fan who has personal problem with sethi and nawaz who wants to take him to court (funny that guy pays no tax and can take sethi to court but too much of a coward to live in pakistan and hides in malaysia)

that was the point. and you can't blame them, marketing is supposed to do marketing. It was targeted mostly to indians until pakistani media picked on it and further did free marketing. it was big win for star sports.
yea when I first saw that ad, I never thought that it would fetch this kind of response from Pakistani fans/media. now they have made same ad for SA vs India match and I/We dint got offended rather I got educated that we havn't won against them in WC so again new point to look forward to match.

So only advice is to behave in matured manner then I also think that on one hand Pakistani fans are deprived of cricket matches off late so I guess that helps in anger build up which comes out in such manner.

.
Would suggest you read again,i am only pointing at irresponsible behavior from some 'fans'.Hy, i have no problem with criticism, selection is too poor for this world cup.

I don't think so you have ever witnessed West Indies fans when they would stop play even injure the players, Indian fans in the times when they used to throw bottles, and even English fans after 1992 defeat of England in Final.

No need to police how people react and how we should stop them. Freedom of Expression is their right and players are no demigods.

Players are humans, they too have emotions, you should stop comparing our fans with any one else(read my signature).Do you call immature behavior "Freedom of Expression" ?

we've always been like that. We lost games starting 2008, but even before we were really emotional, despite us having better records against india unlike as of late games (Example, we were 18-3 in all ODIs once)

shh, freedom of expression only applies when they're the ones excercising it.

Remember how we get offended if someone makes fun of our religion? Then it's not freedom of expression, but hatred/abuse. But call players name is not spread of hate/voilence (someone might kill them, seeing how we kill people for little reason) and abuse.

So what do you want us respect likes of Umar Akmal? Who doesn't even respect the traffic laws of his country.

If anyone wants respect he needs to earn it like Saeed Anwar, Sachin, Vivian Richards.

.
The way they lost these 2 matches, they should be bombard with eggs and tomatoes.

. . .
I think Ireland will beat Pakistan

I m serious
They defeated WI and are in good touch

I know I was just joking. This team does not stand a chance, not because they are weak just because they don't want to try and win.
