There's an old Chinese proverb: kill the chicken to frighten the monkey. Basically, destroy and make an example of India so other countries will think twice about trying to contain China.

The problem with China's technology is that it's good enough to be indigenous but doesn't make it advanced enough to nip the nuisance of India in it's bud.

India has been harassing China in border disputes for over half a century and superpower China is unable to stop it. The best it could do is make dubious claims of having upper hand in skirmishes.

Upper hand in skirmishes? China is a hyperpower, isn't it? So it should be finishing the problems caused by a third world country quickly once and for all. Instead the problem drags on for many many decades.

China took 1000 sqkm in Galwan.
Why this encroachment of territory bit by bit? Why not a decisive war to finally settle it all? Is it so difficult for China? When the real superpower USSR had border dispute with China, they closed the issue with few missiles. No more dragging of the issue for half a century.

It's like Mike Tyson fighting a five year old and formulating strategies and tactics and biding time instead of knocking out the opponent in a single punch.

You're right. Chinese gov is too soft especially the foreign ministry. Seems like diplomacy though negotiation is going to fail. Like Clausewitz has said, war is the continuation of politics by other means. Soon the military will take over foreign affairs with India. Then killing of the Indian chicken will happen.

Because the life of on an average Chinese soldier is more important than a hundred Indians. If they can push India back without firing a shot, why would they rush it. What if this takes a few years. They have time. See in India and Pakistan we are emotionally charged and have unnecessary bravado but very little in the face of follow up. The Chinese and other civilizations take time for their policies to come to complete.

An example was Hong Kong, the monetary policy IMF. The fact that the only people who will benefit from a China, India and Pakistan war would be the west.
They will let Pakistan and india break into smaller manageable countries and a weak power called China with an unstable border.

if you really want to ask a. Question than that should be why India did not solve her border and water disputes withPakistan for peace resulting in making Pakistan part of her value chain. Propelling india to become a super power. We would have been able to drag all of our people out of poverty. Unfortunately it will be China now that will become the superpower and us of the sub content will suffer. Indians will suffer more losing everything . Pakistan will suffer in losing our identity but will prosper.
