Neighbours of a man suspected of involvement in the rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab Kasuri, said that the suspect had shaved his beard after killing the child.

A shopkeeper told SAMAA that the suspect, Imran Ali, did not look worried even after the murder of Zainab Ansari and acted normal as if nothing happened.

"He also used to demand exemplary punishment for the Zainab's killer," another neighbor recalled.

Zainab Ansari, a Grade 1 student, was abducted on her way to Holy Quaran's class on Jan 4 when she went missing. She was sexually assaulted and strangulated to death, and her body was found lying in a heap of garbage a few days later.

The horrific incident shocked the whole country as cricket stars, celebrities, rights activists and politicians joined calls for justice.

According to the police, the suspect was a neighbour of Zainab's aunt. - SAMAA

2 years and 8 little angels later (reasonably quick time). Add to that two people killed by police and the damage to public property caused by protesters. All Babas and Babus supporting their "eternal ladla (PMLN)"

When a similar case comes in the "purported ladla's" province the king maker (certain media outlets) annexes two news as it's selling, why not add to that some propaganda (lifafa bhi halal nokri bhi pakki)
History proves, who has always been the "ladla" and continues to be.

Everything was setup to get the victim (behind the scenes, "ladla") sympathy votes since last time (in 2013 elections), their argument was "kabhi moqa he nahin mila khidmat ka, since weren't allowed to loot for five years consecutively"

If he would have completed five years this time, what excuse would have they made for elections?
You would see more and more news of PMLN's successes till elections and the victim card. All would be same after elections. That's how ladla's come to power every now and then.

Bro i voted for PTI last time and i am not from Punjab as well infact from Karachi. I know how our police system is rotten especially in Khi, thanks to rangers and Raheel sharif, MQM here have been neutralized. Punjab police is same but so as KP police. I feel really frustrated and disappointed when ever i see Imran Khan criticizing punjab police in every julsa, press conference, twitter statements, interviews while at the same time he praises KP police...i mean like what the fcuk seriously ..what has KP police achieved so far ? entire terrorism wave has been cut down a great deal by the Army in KP in the form of operation zarb e azam while Imran Khan takes credits for that as well....right after the kasur incident, IK was drawing parallelism between Punjab and KP police so now PP has finally caught the rapist lets us see how fast KP police catches the culprit as well. If not, than there is no point in praising KP police since it should be assumed that police of both the provinces are equally rotten.
