New Delhi: Congratulating Vladimir Putin on winning the Russian Presidential elections, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that he looks forward to welcoming him to India for summit talks on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in March-end.

"As you prepare to assume your new responsibilities, I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to strengthen further our strong and close relationship. I also look forward to welcoming Your Excellency in India later this year for the next India-Russia Summit."

Mr. Singh was a bit late. Pakistani PM was first. I guess this is only Pakistan's race win against India.:undecided:

^ No matter how fast Pakistan's PM is,Putin will visit India after his re-election much before than he will visit Pakistan.:)

LOL President Putin is coming for visit to India in March, while pakistanis are celebrating visit of Putin several months afterwards in september.

@topic: I think Manmohan Singh should have congratulated him immediately after the election results were declared. Russia becomes strong nation will definitely benefit India in power game. Because unlike americans, Both Russia and India support each other unconditionally.

Same with our side...
Puttin has accepted to visit Pakistan some where in September. If he comes then that will be good, if not, then well god knows what will be best for us...
I don't think Pakistani leaders ever beg to Russia. Our leaders hardly go there to visit.
