As one of iranian poster stated in another thread iranians helped u.s to defeat taliban in heraat, and how most ( if not all ) the opposition of saddam were based in iran. Irans supported russia's stand on chechniya for good relations.

Brother I have seen a lot of the analysis regarding Iran, and there is little likelihood of military action against them, all this radar site is for monitoring of ballistic missile launches.

I did not care about probability bro. That is not the issue here. Lets change shoes and have a look at it like this, how about if Iran had given a radar site to India next to Pakistan border to monitor Pakistani missiles. It is almost the same both India and US are non-Muslim powers except that US is more powerful than India and is more prone to go to war by lying to world about it and also the fact that Iran is not as well armed with nuclear weapons as Pakistan is. So Do you think now it is acceptable. If you still think that it is acceptable, atleast I can say you are not a hypocrite. But if your answer is anything else, I am disappointed.

So fighting against the Taliban or oppressive landlord at home is OK, but fighting the Iranians and Afghans is not?

the fear of Iran getting nukes might be scary, but I don't see why they should use it, unless to protect themselves from a nation who'd invade or attack them. Iran has just as much right to have nuclear power plants as any other nation, but something tells me that you fear a technologically advanced Iran. Can you deny that ?

I have no problem with U.S base in Turkey. They will check Iran- A country with a regime who supported PKK when it suited them, a regime tried to fuel our ultra-religious idiots for sharia, a regime who tried muck all of Turkish interest in Caucasus, a regime who supported Armenians against Azerbeijan rather than their Shia muslim ''brothers'', a regime who killed its own people in protests and banned their protests, a regime who supports Assad Family and sends its dog Hezbullah to butcher them, a regime that opress its own people

I can go on with no ttouble but it will take time to write all of the wrong doings of Islamic Republic of Iran. This is politics and Iran literally f+cked us in our +rses when we turn our back to them even thought Turkey helped them with their nuclear stution countless times like deal with Brazil-Turkey-Iran, like Turkey's stubborn refusal to support any military action against Iran, like their no sanction policy, like Turkeys refusal to support Azeris in Iran....

We helped these ultra-religious mullahs and they stabbed us in our backs more then even Israel... They are worst than Israel in regards to their policy towards Turkey

So yeas, I hope these mullahs will be in corner and I hope these mullahs will be brought down

What is that all about? This is a deployment of a radar base for the NATO anti ballistic missile system. Turkey is a member of NATO since 1952. Similar bases are coming up in Poland, Romania etc.

BTW, this location of Sirnak is a very clever one. It is near the Turkey, Iraq, Iran trijunction and can also look deep into Russia from the south across georgia and Azarbaijan. No wonder Russia is so unhappy about the whole thing.
