Trump's a smart guy and also very business minded and transactional in how he views the world. He's not going to favor Pakistan over India because of the big trade potential and the Indian market. The US also views India as a counterweight to China.

Na, it's diplomacy, good diplomacy too, but even that will take you only so far if you don't have much to bring to the table. What Trump wants most from Pakistan is whatever help they can provide the Americans in getting out of the Afghan quagmire.

Credit is deserved where due. Both leaders are working hard for the best interests of their people. It is simple economics. I dont think Modi is concerned about Kashmir anymore. Abolishing article 370 was India's internal matter which was long due. Nobody before Modi had the political guts, backing or risk-taking capacity to do it. As much as members here enjoy sidelining India on the basis of poverty, lack of infra, lack of development, and racist remarks such as curry munching (much of our foods are more common than we think with the only exception of Beef) - Indians continue to work hard everyday and bring progress and recognition throughout the world. In fact, the Indian dispora is one of the most successful immigrant population in most developed countries along with the Chinese, simply due to their intellectual planning and hard work. Today most Indians no longer concern themselves with Pakistan except when your PM or Government makes an interesting remark. Look at any Indian news website and you will see only a small portion about Pakistan compared to any Pakistani website usually making headlines with India related news. The choice is clear - either accept the reality and reconsider the relationship you want to have with your neighbor towards one of mutual progress and prosperity or keep brickering and living in self denial laughing at your neighbors issue while the world, including the ummah opens every door for them.

I just do not understand that Pakistan, the greatest nation in the Islamic world . Russia was part of G7 ie it was G8. It got booted out when it invaded Crimea. G7 was an organisation of Major DEMOCRATIC countries. A single party "communist" country is therefore not invited.

But according to Pakistan the whole world and the UN have only one thing on its mind, the corpse less genocide in Kashmir and victimless rape of all Kashmiri women by the Indian army. I see daily reports from journalists on the streets of srinagar on Al-jazeera and BBC but see no genocide, no rapes, no ethnic cleaning.
The only ethnic cleaning was done on the 500,000 Pandits of Srinagar who have lived in Kashmir for thousands of years and now live in refugee camps outside Delhi.
The UN General Secretary was at the G7 and had a long nice cordial chat with Modi. I am sure Imran. the greatest handsomest leader in the whole world, would surely have been invited so that these small time Prime Ministers could listen to his transcendental wisdom

Beijing on Tuesday voiced “strong dissatisfaction” with a joint statement issued by the G7 leaders, who backed Hong Kong's autonomy and called for calm after months of civil unrest.

I'll sort of agree with you here, he's not a great charismatic and gregarious leader like Trump.

Trump loves his interactions with the press, been doing it since his scandal ridden sleazy 80s days as a New York real estate developer.

Modi is uncomfortable with the press, mostly because the political press in India have forever been a sleazy gang of Nehruvian sycophants, the "Khan Market gang", as Modi calls them.

Where they both shine is at their political rallies but Modi is an introvert, a very deep thinker and a man of great conviction, a true ideologue, a good leader, they're both good leaders. "Hitler" "Fascist" "genocide".....

Congress (Nehru dynasty) ruled India for almost 50 years since independence/partition.

Pakistan wise, all that's changed in India is that there will be no more appeasement of the pro Pak crowd in India anymore, and you will get a more muscular response to any serious military misadventures than earlier.

Indian Kashmir will go back to normal eventually, hopefully the violent protests will stop, no stones, no pellet guns or tear gas/chilli grenades.. and hopefully the 7.62 projectiles also stop flying around.

A thinker and visionary leader will always strive for peace, not do war monhering and chest thumping.
We never even know there is pro Pakistan crowd or that they were appeased lolz. Congress govts have been as hostile as bjp. India have always ranaway from dialogue with Pakistan, with stupid excuses, if terrorism ends then wats there to talk. Do u know during Pakistan internal fight, one leader of TTP at that time admitted that US drone strikes actually help accelerate their recruitment. Wat india did will help increase separatists.
