Every thing is fine in group games....coz PAK needs to win atleast 3 games.
Pakistan v Kenya (PAK fav)
Pakistan v Sri Lanka
Pakistan v Canada (PAK FAV)
Pakistan v New Zealand
Pakistan v Zimbabwe (PAK FAV)
Pakistan v Australia

But the Problem comes in quarter finals where u have to win (Do or Die) to go in semi finals.

First quarter-final, Group A1 v Group B4
Second quarter-final, Group A2 v Group B3
Third quarter-final, Group A3 v Group B2
Fourth quarter-final, Group A14v Group B1

This format is criticized by number of experts & farmer players.
The good team can go out on one match b4 semi finals...

This threat is for every team ...either its India, PAK , AUS, SF, ENG, SRL, WI, NZ

OK here is a possible scenario of the Quarter finals

Group A:

Currently NZ is on top of the table followed by Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia. All of them have played one match each against a minnow.

Now if Australia beat everybody in the group matches they will come on top
Sri Lanka beat Canada, Pakistan, Kenya, New Zealand, Zimbabwe
Pakistan beat Kenya, New Zealand, Canada, Zimbabwe
New Zealand beat Canada, Kenya, Zimbabwe

So by this way:

Australia = A1
Sri Lanka = A2
Pakistan = A3
New Zealand = A4

and if Pakistan beat Sri Lanka and New Zealand then A2 can be replaced with A3

Group B:

If India beats everybody
South Africa everybody except India
England beat everybody except India and South Africa
West Indies / Bangladesh beat all the minnows / Associated teams

India: B1
South Africa: B2
England: B3
West Indies: B4

and if India loses from South Africa then it will become B2 and South Africa B1

so by this way:

A1 (Australia) vs B4 (West Indies)
A2 (Sri Lanka) vs B3 (England)
A3 (Pakistan) vs B2 (South Africa)
A4 (New Zealand) vs B1 (India)

Well Pakistan must find its way to avoid playing against South Africa and challenge them either in Semi Finals or Finals... Proteas are popularly known as chokers but still they are one of the best side in the world. I usually rank them well ahead of India

3) I don't know it's tough but all the semi finalists have an equally good chance I would give Australia and India an upper hand since Australia is a mighty team and India is playing at home considering their record at home they have a great chance to win.
4) Either Kumar Sangakara, Virender Sehwag or Misbah ul Haq.
5) Either Umar Gul, Brett Lee, Lasith Malinga.

But this year a team from the Sub Continent will win. India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are equally strong in the sub continent pitches. But India and Sri Lanka have an upper hand due to their strong line up and good record in the past at home. Pakistan is an unpredictable team, were underdogs in 1992 and 2009 and didn't give good performances at the start of those world cups but still raised the cup in the end.

One of the only post on this thread that makes any sense! Unfortunately, Cricket is a very unpredictable game and any thing can happen.. one bad day and we can see a biggest setback of the tournament. I would love India to hold the cup but still will give all the top team equal chance of winning.
