Yup, my teacher was talking about that the other day. He was telling us to look at the pictures of 11th graders from 40 years ago and look at the 11th graders today.

Well, don't judge like that. We live in a world of choice and our own circumstances.

If a couple wants to have pre-marital sex, they can do so as long as they have crossed the legal age requirement.

That doesn't make sense

People used to have children by the age of 15.

In UK a kid became a father at 12.

Sex Education is the only solution. Men should be capable of making their decisions themselves. Govt already recommends 18 as minimum age but many engage in the act at 16.. much better than some other countries.

I don't know much about that. But laws like promises are meant to be broken. So whatever be the legal age, teens who find cupid playing onto them, sure would take the step. Doesn't hurt anyone I guess, but the cases of teenage pregnancy, which too can be avoided.

in UK you often see pregnant girls at the age of 14-15 years only. There is a TV show also where you often see pregnant girls coming who are usually below 16

Your right, in the United States, 1/3rd of High school students have had a intent sexual experience with the opposite sex. 25% are not virgins. Cupid once hit me and I ended up doing something I regretted later on.

Guys....I think we are overlooking a very key achievement here....

Honor killings, mass processions on Valentines day, moral police (Mangalore pubs case) are all linked with some prudish folks in our country correlating acts such as holding hands, kissing in public, drinking etc to moral corruption of society

The fact that the court upheld the rights of Khushboo, declaring that pre-marital sex is not an offense means that next time the Shiv Sena or MNS decide to vanadalize and beat up innocent college kids swapping spit on Bandra Bandstand, they can be made liable/answerable to the Supreme court......

I for one am very happy to hear this news....I bloody hate moral police!!!!

It's the culture.

There are different ways to fix this.

In Saudi the law is so strict that nobody dares to break it.

In west the society is so open that they don't need to break any laws. Hence they have comparatively lower rape cases in both Saudi and Europe.

India first has to get it's act together (balanced development and population control) and then we can handle these issues. Nowdays "Live-in relationships" are slowly evolving in Indian metros.
