Prayers for my dear dad

and wrote a will saying never put me on that machine and had us all brothers promise it as well, none could follow through so he left it up to me to pull the plug. I hope and pray that day never comes, even just mentioning it pains me.

Hi,

To let him go would be the ultimate test of your love for your father---never falter from the task he gave you---and never share it with anyone what you are supposed to do and what you did when the time came. And remember these words of mine.

There comes a time that that is all we can do for our loved ones to end their pain and suffering---.

Hi,

My father passed away when he was 53 years old---heart attack and he was gone---.

So---life comes at you fast & goes by faster---zingggggggggg.

Just be grateful to Allah that your father passed away while on his two feet---.

It is a Blessing from Allah---.

We wish our old parents to live---because we don't understand " the pain of living " that they go thru---.

Getting old is no fun---. I had a very active life style for a civilian living in pakistan---. I used to jog 3-5 miles a day 3-4 days a week---. When I moved to the US---it climbed up to sometime 10 miles a day jog amongst other physical activity---.

It kept me and my heart fit---but just wore down the CV joints ( Knees )---the Ball joints ( ankles )---tie rod ends ( shoulder joints )---then there are the hemmorhoids ( no laughing matter ) and this is being very healthy and not being on any medication---.

And then there comes a time in our lives that we pray to Allah---" please take me while I am on my feet "---.

I want to tell you folks---" Please keep the dignity of your parents alive in their old age as you saw in their younger years "---.

Please do not prolong their lives by artificial means or by saying " I can't let you go "---. Sometimes we just want to go---.

I wrote it here before---my 76 years old uncle got a stroke---being a doctor---he self prescribed himself---the doctor told him be careful of your sugar intake---he took it as your sugar level is high---so he stopped taking sugar---.

Now he is in a comma due to this stroke---and his kids are spending a ton of money to keep him alive in that vegetative state---.

So---when I first visited him I was really shocked at his vegetative state---. I then asked his son---what are you trying to achieve here by getting the best doctors and spending 100's of thousand of ruppees on hospital and medicine---.

from his answer I realized that they thought that he will wake up and be his old self again walking talking like a regular person---.

I had a tough time to explain to him and his sister---that their father was basically gone---there is no coming back for a 76 years old man with a massive stroke---. Unless you want a cripple in your life---please allow him the dignity to pass away---. My uncle had a wonderful life---extremely handsome man---focus of ever gathering---.

Once my cousin understood that---they brought him home---took enough care of him and made it easy for him to travel to the next world---.

This is not an easy decision---but if possible---dying should have some dignity left to it---.

I have instructed my wife & Kids to not revive me if I get a stroke---just let me go to my maker---. I am happy for the life that Allah has blessed me with and when the time comes---let me go with a smile on your faces---.

By the way---in my family---we don't cry out loud at the death of our near dear ones---it is frowned upon---. They are just silent tears---.

Do not be afraid to meet your maker---be ready---be prepared---we all have to die one day---embrace passing from this world to the next world like you embrace the coming of new life to this world---.

I am always prepared to depart whenever Allah swt wishes to. My family already know that I don't want artificial means to be kept alive and they must follow my "DNR- Do Not Resuscitate" order. I am still a healthy person thanks to Allah swt.

I agree, never hold if one has to go ...through any painful artificial mean, just because you love him/her so much. I let go my father, it was extremely painful for me. but all medical reports ask me to let his suffering/pain end.

Hi,

Specially the pain and suffering of certain cancer patients---. Those who have liver cancer---cancer of the kidneys---and then those with urinary track cancer---prostrate cancer---pancreatic cancer---some of these cancers have horrendous amount of pain---.

And yet children don't realize how much pain their adults are in---. Men and women of older generation would not express it to their children how much pain they had---.

Everyone, Please don’t take this tyrant virus lightly.

It damages lungs, then kidneys, doesn’t leave any stone unturned.

Please pray more and more for my dad

I will keep praying brother don’t lose hope.
If you don’t mind we asking your father become sick due to COVID-19v
