Pray for people in Chair lift in batgram

Hours upon hours were wasted by the Company Neutrals to shoot and get the dramatics and sent it to news channel. Maybe another helicopter is used just to shoot the videos...

To do what exactly?

Just because they are SSG does not mean they can be utilized in this role.

Social media is full of accounts quoting locals that they were stopped from sending in their own experienced people to perform the rescue because the Fauj wanted their photo-op, and at the end of the day the Fauj is also having to use locals to actually perform the rescue. A lot of hours were lost because the Fauj wanted to act like heroes.

Yet more Fauji BS.

The whole affair now seems to have been hijacked by ISPR.

Full credit to the army aviation, PAF pilots, and the guys who went down and rescued the two children using a heli, and the rest of the military personnel who took part in the op, take nothing away from them. They don't deserve to be caught up in this political crossfire.

But then a local lift operator went through a dolley and rescued the third guy and gave them food and rations.

The District education officer was on phone with ARY and he mentioned that it's the local guys now going, but the ARY reporter stopped him and asked him 'Ab batayen keh SSG walon nay kaisay maharat ka muzahira kia?'.

I mean why does ISPR need to hijack all media ops? Just look at any news channel right now, and it's:

- GOC SSG khud operation ki nigrani kar rahay hain
- Pak fauj ka operation mukammal
- The caretaker interior minister with 10 balls in his mouth as usual

It was a team effort, everyone put their expertise into it, and as someone who is from mountainous areas and who used to once upon a time regularly go on these flimsy dolleys, the local operators are the best people for this sort of situation.

You are only making yourself more of a fool with these media ops. Stop this nonsense khuda kay wastay.

When did we all become so unprofessional?

That heli much trumped operation and with full media blitz resulted in the operation to be delayed by many hours, heli should not have been used with additional strong winds.

Only one person was rescued by the SSG heli op.

The rest of the kids are all rescued by the locals who knew the situation and can react better.

Yes it was hijacked by the ISPR as usual to get the media vibes, resulting in more hatred.

Completed by the locals...thanks God.

Well I wouldn't go that far without knowing the situation on the ground.

Looking at the video, it seems all three guide wires were intact from their mounting points on the mountain side, but instead it was one set of mounting wheels of the dolley that broke off.

But then for the rescue op, it would make sense to first ensure that all the wires were indeed functional and mounted properly and had no problem before sending a guy in. In the meanwhile, makes sense to use a heli to rescue the people.

Perhaps there was a problem with the mounting points? Don't know.

Bcz no one is happy in his current state I think. Every politician or chief or officer or even a common person in his own circle of influence wants to act like a Pharaoh.

As expected from the off, ISPR will milk this for their own goals.

The next few days there will be about ceremonies held, caretaker PM will meet with SSG folk, Whisky Munir will embrace them, the media touts will line up and sing songs for the military with non stop coverage, and OTT news channel graphics, dramatic jingles and reporting.

And Kim Jong Un will look on with envy at the propaganda tactics at work.
