My experience is not supernatural but many years ago one night I dreamed that I am driving into the back side of a white truck so I became very cautious in my driving and started avoiding all trucks especially white ones.
A few days later on a fine Saturday morning with almost no traffic on the road, I was going to my office at SITE Karachi to complete some important project related work. Crossing traffic lights at Schon circle heading towards boat basin I wondered if I had recited Ayat-ul-Kursi when starting from home, so I did it again and picked up some speed. I used to love flooring the accelerator on Mai Kolachi from boat basin to Daud Pota Road. Anticipating a smooth ride with almost no traffic I reached Boat Basin, with just one old broken green coloured truck full of natural manure driving slowly in the center lane. Nearing the apartment complex on the right just before the curve as I was getting ready to step on the gas, the truck decided to take a right turn towards the complex entrance.
With only a few meters between us and me already testing the accelerator, the distance was not enough to let the brakes work despite me pushing down on the brakes as hard as can.
I am quite tall and needed to recline the Khyber seat quite a bit to fit my legs so they don't touch the steering and always wore the seatbelt. My friends used to comment that I drive lying down like an F-16 pilot. Just before the impact, my brain played a high definition coloured film with me covered in blood and my face and head all broken up.
I saw what was coming, got scared like this is where it ends, got very stiff like a wooden dummy and held the steering very tightly to keep my head from hitting the steering. It all happened within a fraction of a second, the car drove right under and into the backside breaking its right axle. Got a severe jolt but my body almost didn't move like it was glued to the seat. Not a single scratch but the next morning my whole body even the knuckles despite them not hitting anything were aching like I got trashed in a wrestling match.
Thanks to Allah for saving my life with no injuries. I think wearing the seat belt and especially the recline played a big part as the impact caused my upper body to move upwards not forwards crashing into the steering.
