I was just showing the smiling faces of young Bangladeshis brimming with expectations and happiness at the prospects of India invading Bangladesh!

Im saying we dont have any responsibility to follow Kolkata based Bengali culture. Kolkatans dont have to follow us as they are already look south and delhi type. Kolkata history started in 18th century certainly not the pioneer of Bengal. And their 200 years of culture wont settle the direction of Bengali based culture. Whatever culture will generate from BD in future, If we say it you have to accept it as real Bengali. We are not only Bengali but also world citizen, so world culture is also ours no point stuck in some ideologies.

md akmal as I know is from varendra area. That is a place where gupta murya sena all type of people migrated. Now if they say people from those said lands migrated also why this itching? Its well documented. Even we who migrated from Murshidabad are real Bengali now by migrating to real Bengal but you from Barisal who was ancient Bengali not a real Bengali anymore. Same way your west neighbors who claim to be the early inhabitants of Indus valley because they have most of those lands in possession even though they are not native. Deep in your heart you know India is not the whole India but north west area similarly Bengal is not whole Bengal but situated in south west part of Bangladesh and Bengalis are those who inhabited here in course of history.

Check the names of top 100 most notable Bengalis....you will learn that it is 'we' who define 'Bengali'!

As if those people are from your west lala bengal. Find out their root and all will be from present day BD area. And if you define them by Hindu religion, 100 years ago Muslim Bengalis were around 30-40%

Bangladesh has little contribution to the identity of Bengalis, their identity and culture is of two loan cultures, one from the 'real Bengalis' who are now settled in West Bengal, and the other is from middle-east.

As I said we have the land in possession which gave birth to Bengal. Some of you Bengalis were part of that Bengal for tiny fraction of time. When your present land was under us you had glorious past which is basically ours. And when your elders are going down one by one who migrated from here or enjoyed privilege of united Bengal, you are slowly going into oblivion.

@ Remember, I think blood matters a lot. it is the blood which speaks itself. Well, if you fall in this 30 % converted from either Hindu or Buddhist, then your behavior, your social attitude and your political thinking will be little bit different with other group of people. You are more likely to be tilted towards Indian Bengali culture, most likely to be Awami Leaquer, left oriented, and pro-Indian. Try to be progressive.

@ About privilege definitely there are people in and around to peak you up and put you in better position. These system discrimination is there through out Bangladesh. I have seen if some body is a recent covertly from Hindus then definitely he has an upper hand then other Muslims.

Only your ancestors not you. Remember Sena, Muslim and British invaders came for a different culture. When British left they left behind their own version of culture. Culture is not a big issue. Its ever changeable.

Its always good to have alternative. Even though BNP is anti India, I think bd(and India) needs another party in the long run. India should not support one regime, authoritarian rule can become a problem for us too.

BNP can and should nurture relation with BJP so that next election India plays non partisan role.
