1.USSR bankrupted bcz it went head to head on arm race with U.S and also bcz USSR offered so much cheap credits and donations to VN, north Korea, eastern communist europe in order to earn their loyalty and alliance toward Soviet Union, in fact U.S.S.R had earned nothing in term of profit from selling arm at that time..mostly sale with lost.
