The war is ours.
It has always been ours.
Be it in Kargil, Khalistan, Mumbai, Kashmir or what not.
Because the key to squashing our insurgencies lay in the AfPak corridor.
That means you nothing about why the US economy is in the mess it is in.
Afghan war has nothing to do with the state of the US economy.
It was a bad move on our part I believe.
Even today I think we should grab the slightest opportunity to up our military presence in Afghanistan.
It will build a lot of pressure on the Pak military.
Good for us in the long run.
AT THAT TIME IT WAS A GOOD DECISION.
but situation has changed a lot in last 10 years. we must help Afgan people on the request of their government.
at present times we can send our forces to Afganistan to help ANA to fight terrorist, train them & equip them.
we tried that in Sri Lanka and look what happened its best if we not get involved in a war that has nothing to do with us although us getting more strategic appetite would be better
Come on matey are U living in dreams? What do the pictures of those blast going to prove huh? We are at war since 1947 and dont teach me that. Show some sense will U? What do U think the US army doing in Afghan? And why do U think that every NATO member wants to quit Afghan? What strategic leverage are U going to gain by losing bunch of few good soldiers everyday to IED's?How exactly would it be the US' war?
It would be India's war.
...and do u seriously believe we are not at war already?
Shall I mail the pictures of the recent Delhi blast or the 26/11 attacks to you?
We ARE at war already. Wake up and smell the coffee, matey.

Its a good decision. Even without sending army/helping directly US, we have good influence there which are building lot of pressure on them.
Indians never seize to amaze me with their twisted and in this case complete false history.
i still remember it was India who offered its military and logistics support to US for attack on both Afghanistan & Pakistan and (for one reason or another) it was US who had declined the offer.
Just in case, if US had ever considered Indian offer.. it would have been a strategic suicide for both US & India.
