Population of Known Alien Planets Nearly Doubles as NASA Discovers 715 New Worlds

There could actually be many kinds of life and some we might find very hideous and some other very beautiful. And there might be great ecosystem societies and evil ecosystem societies. And if you ask me, our earth will fare as an average ecosystem society with almost equal mix of good and bad(evil).

If the alien civilization is very advanced, then it is unlikely to be an evil society, but how they will treat a less advanced civilization is a matter of concern. Though it is possible that advanced civilization(s) already know about our existence since long, in that case we can be sure that they won't be hostile to us. :-)

There is no better theory at the moment.

Science works on the principle of a "working explanation", Whatever works best will be used until something better comes along. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be aware of the shortcomings of the current explanation.

Newton's theory of gravitation worked well enough until Einstein came up with GTR.

GTR also worked until we looked at galaxies and couldn't figure out why they didn't fly apart from centrifugal force. So we came up with a fudge factor to make the equations balance and called it "dark matter", meaning we had no clue why.

Then we looked at all the galaxies moving away from each other faster than our equations predicted. So we came up with yet another fudge factor -- a massive 95% fudge factor -- to provide anti-gravity and called it "dark energy".
No sir the big bang theory is the most supported one you can verify that by the amount of papers written by scientists and astronomers. so how come you say none of the is better.

This is probably not the right theory but it actually might be the best theory given human understanding of the origin of the universe until some genius in Physics and astronomy gives a better theory.

I am saying big bang is the best theory we have at the moment.

However, the concerns I have are not with big bang per se, but at a much more fundamental level: about gravity itself.

GTR says gravity is just the geometry of space-time. The particle model talks about gravitons, Others talk of gravity waves. At some point we will need to reconcile all these different explanations, and the fact that we need mysterious fudge factors like "dark matter" and "dark energy" is a clue that some fundamental rethinking is needed.
