By the why do you think Iran is any technology master that can produce weapons for export? Iran has oil and it is its only strength, not a manufacturer of weapons.

What foreign weapons does it seek? The last time Iran purchased anything was in 2007 and that was the S-300 air defence to act as a stop gap until Iran's own systems are up and running.

It's called sanctions. The sorts of sanctions Iran is under would have collapsed other nations, yet Iran is maintaining its growth more or less. One major area of self sufficiency is the pharmaceutic sector. Iran cannot import medicines due to the sanctions, using rational thinking try to explain what would happen if Iran was not producing most of its own needed medicines.

The only area Iran would potentially purchase anything from Russia is fighter jets. I never said Iran could export fights jets, yet. Your thoughts is basically this:

1- Iran has to import one type of system
